Real and informative
I received this book in a very timely fashion. It is in excellent condition! The language was understandable and down to earth. The information was what I needed for a novice triathlete. I participated in my first triathlon yesterday! My goal was to finish upright without assistance. I accomplished my goal! :-) Thank you!

fantastic guide
The nutritional information for pre and post workouts was extremely helpful. The author also made the point to integrate strengthening legs muscles, which makes complete sense. Can't wait for my next sprint!

Very informative :)
I'm just entering the sport and am pretty overwhelmed. This book helped make it all seem less intimidating and seem possible. I can't wait for my first race!

An Entertaining and Comprehensive Guide
"Triathlon for Women" is a comprehensive but simple guide if you are thinking about training for a triathlon or have run a few races and want to improve your performance. Written by Charlotte Campbell an accomplished traithlete the book is easy to read, entertaining and filled with a wealth of helpful topics including; overcoming your inhibitions, goal setting, training, nutrition, equipment and maintenance as well as cycling, swimming and running techniques to achieve the best performance and avoid injury. This is a complete guide for women from start to finish and will help assuage any fears or self-doubts in making the dream of training and racing come true.

I highly recommend this book for women as it includes dietary information ...
I purchased this book as a runner, not a swimmer nor biker. This book had very realistic and truly helpful training programs for my sprint triathlon. Once I completed my first one, I turned back to this book and was able to continue to gain valuable information to further my training. I highly recommend this book for women as it includes dietary information to support physical training specifically for women.

Not the best choice by me
Sadly this book don't quite what I hoped for, possibly my fault for not reading the full synopsis. I had hoped for beginner training guidance, in the firm of a plan idea that u could tailor. It provides guidance in preparation for a tri, from fixing yiur bike tyre to carb loading at the right times. I found basic info like that just on Google and didn't really need a book for that. Also the quality of the editing and publishing is quite poor so I wouldn't say it was worth the money.

Very disappointing.
Pretty much exactly the same as 'Triathlon For Beginners: Everything you need to know about training, nutrition, kit, motivation, racing, and much more' by Golding, Dan. Bought both and got the same thing twice. By the time I had the free time to read them, it was too late to return - waste or £16. Lots of links to the website to just try there and save money. Book is poorly formatted and line spacing, font size and layout change throughout. There's not even page numbers.More importantly - nothing learnt here that I didn't know from a quick internet search before I bought the book. Very disappointing.

Amateurish
This book is very poor quality . The internal layout and presentation is riddled with errors like headings in the middle of the page and the paragraph on the next page. The graphics are low res. The book looks like it was put together in word with some clipart and looks offputtingly amateurish. The conent itself is patronising and condesending. Massive overuse of exclamation marks. I really struggled to get past the voice to the actual information.

Useful information and tips for ladies new to triathlon, but padded out with large text and spacing.
Without doubt there is lots of useful information in this book with good tips for a novice triathlete like myself. One thing I did note was that it uses quite large text with large line spacing which felt a bit like it was being padded out to seem like a much more substantial book; I read the whole thing in a night.I will still give it 4 stars though as the content is good and I'm sure I will refer back to it.

a must read for every beginner triathlete
A great book crammed full of hints, tips and practical plans. I'm doing my first sprint triathlon in 2014 and this book has debunked some of the mystery for me. I feel I have a better idea of how to build my training, what the pit falls are to watch out for and how to manage on race day. I was keen before. Now I just can't wait :-)
