The soft bristles are dense, so it's more like a sponge with a handle, but easier to control as a result and perfect for my needs. They seem vinyl rather than natural fibres, but so fine, it feels just like cotton velvet, but deeper. A little smaller than the pictures suggest, it measures a touch over 15cms. The handle is strong and it all feels well made.
