Hayward SP0722S Trimline 2-Way Ball Valve

Was able to match it up to an old valve, same exact part 15 years later

Great valve for inground pool. Don't get the cheap non Hayward ones they are terrible. Hard to open and close it takes a pliars and leak after a few years. These are a requirement for any inground pool in my opinion.

Seems to be decent quality. Plan ahead when installing this where you don't have much play in the PVC pipes, as the union hinders more than it helps. One half slides in about 1/2" to the other, so it may be easier to install this fully assembled. I was expecting the union to have a flat mating surface on both sides and an o-ring in the middle, but since this slips in so far, it also won't be very useful to disconnect it in the winter to deal with frost heave (if mounted horizontally). If I have to replace it again, I'll likely pick a true union instead.

Another great Hayward product. Used 3 of these to separate my 3 return lines after termites destroyed my single line.

Excellent choice for close quarters in pool plumbing. Works as a union and a valve. Can break down totally for a full clean-out.

This installed with ease and is exactly what i needed to replace the hayward ball valve that was original with the pool.
