This product is awesome. I have spiral curls and live in the south so we have summer-like humidity 7-8 months of the year. This product is great not only at preventing frizzing but also at keeping my curls together. Whenever I buy this stuff, I try to buy it in bulk so that if someone gets an idea about yanking it from the market- I will have a lot of it! It took me years and years of trying lots of other products before I found this. Other products may have cut down the frizzies but made my hair look wet OR they dried my hair out as a means to cut down the humidity. Curls Rock keeps my hair moisturized while it keeps my curls together. I have noticed that the fragrance of the product has changed over the years but the quality of the product has not!When first using the product you have to pull back on the nozzle to dislodge the foam plug that they use to keep the lotion in the bottle. Then I push the plunger up in the tube (from underneath) until I feel resistance. I always apply the product on wet hair and shake my hair out as it dries to prevent the possibility of a wet look. I do not have the dandriff issue with the product flaking as long as I apply it evenly. On occasion I have not done so and found that I get a little dry flake of product, usually at my temple. But, that is user error, not product error!I have read several times that people with curly hair should not wash their hair but every few days. This has been hard for me since I prefer to shower twice a day and have done a lot of swimming in chlorine in the past. I now wash my hair every two days (and use anti-chlorine shampoo after swimming) and ALWAYS apply Curls Rock after every shower. My curls are better defined and my hair is more manageable now than ever.This product is worth every penny! I just wish they would sell it in larger containers with a hand pump for ease of use.

I've looked all over for stuff that I can apply shortly after the shower to combat frizz and help my hair curl. I got tired of trying different products that didn't meet my expectations. A co-worker would always come to work with frizz free hair and curls, so I asked her what she used. She told me about this stuff, so I went on a search for it. I found it for the best price on Amazon. I put it on when I get out of the shower. I allow my hair to air dry just enough that it's not super wet. I comb this stuff through my hair, and then flip my head over to scrunch it. I then take clippies and clip sections of my hair tightly to help curl it. My hair is a combo of wavy, straight, a little curl here and there, and lots of frizz. The clippies and this product help my hair to curl and defrizz more consistently.This stuff is super thick and sticky. I put one pump of it into my palm, spread it around in my hands, and then apply it as evenly as possible. Combing it through helps. I am not able to sleep on my hair after using this stuff or it will look like bed head. So I only get a days use out of it. People with naturally curly hair may be able to go more days with one application, but my hair is too inconsistent. It really helps with frizz. I know my coworker will add a little bit of hairspray after using this stuff to help even more with frizz on very humid days. I don't like a lot of product in my hair, so I haven't tried this, but it really seems to help her hair with frizz.

I have tried so many products for my naturally curly hair. I have a combination of wavy to curly, but not tight spirals. My hair strands are medium to thin and my hair frizzes at the drop of a hat...or water. I like this product because it's not greasy and it leave no crunch. If you want a gel look, this isn't for you. This product does a really nice job enhancing natural curl while still being able to run your fingers through it, if you so choose. Even now that my hair is short, if I over use it (it really only takes a VERY small amount of product), I don't look like a grease ball. I used to be a strict Curly Girl method only. I don't know if this product is Curly Hair approved, but I don't care. My hair loves it and sometimes you just have to go with what makes your hair look good and you feel good. I highly recommend anyone with naturally wavy to curly hair that tends to frizz a bit but really doesn't want a crunchy look and is a minimalist like me. TIP: combine with a curly girl friendly cheap gel like Herbal Essences totally twisted curl scrunching gel for a bit more hold and frizz fighting power without being too greasy. Works great on humid days.

I've been following the Curly Girl (CG) hair method of not using any silicone or sulfate products on my hair for almost two years, and love how healthy my hair has gotten, especially as I've grown it out. Although my hair has gotten healthier, I've still been battling with constant frizz, so I recently decided to add in a few silicone products. If you are following the CG method, supposedly the one silicone in this evaporates as your hair dries, so it's not as damaging as regular silicone-based products.I have to say that I love what this does for my hair! It makes my fine waves look perk up and look like they've been styled with a curling iron -- and the best part is that there is little frizz!My hair is about three inches past my shoulders, and I use two pumps of this to cover my hair, followed by a bit of gel. After washing and conditioning my hair, I flip it upside down in the shower, squeeze out some of the water, and then distribute one pump of this on my palms, using the wetness to coat my skin. I think glide and scrunch it into my hair. I then add the second pump, making sure that all the hair is coated.I also have the darker blue and turquoise Curlesque version of this, which has a slightly different ingredient list, but they seem to work about the same. (I bought the Curlesque one ages ago, but wanted to get this one too to compare since reviews I'd read online said that this older version is better.)The only downside is that the smell of this (and the Curlesque) version is pretty strong in a chemically sort of way. The smell also lingers into the second day. This is my reason for four stars instead of five. Overall, though, this is an excellent product that really does give perfect, frizz-free curls!

to hold down my wavy hair, got rid of frizz and looks natural.

I've been using this product for many years. It's been a god send for my curly trusses. Lately, though, it it not helping with my curls. Not sure if they changed the product. Very disappointed. 😪😪
