Post Knee Surgery Lifesaver!
I never thought I’d be writing a review for a toilet seat, but this one certainly warrants a recommendation. For reference, I am 5’4 and weigh between 105 and 110; this fit me perfectly. The handrails are adjustable and I used mine at the tightest fitting. I think someone who is 225 would easily fit with the extended options for the handrails.I found it to be very sturdy and didn’t experience any leakage. Never once did I feel unstable and the functionality did the job. There is kind of a tunnel effect in the toilet that you need to keep on top of, but other than that, I found it to be exactly what I needed and super easy to install.

A weird Issue
I think the quality of the product is great and the sturdiness of the product is great The handles are great and padded. What doesn't really make sense is the well pronounced dented part in front of the toilet seat. Why and what purpose is that for? At first I thought that was my problem with missing the toilet when I pee. I am a small female so I thought well darn it so I tried to make sure I sit a little further back. That didn't fix the problem either because urine actually goes under the seat onto the floor in front of the toilet. When my caregiver removed the seat to clean it the first time I used it You can see urine was all around the bottom of the toilet raiser seat. and arm rest holes. If you turn it upside down you can see where the arm holes are and the arm adjustable pegs are. What a mess it was sorry for the graphic details, but thats the only way I can explain what I mean. I noticed someone mentioned a little step stool for shorter people I am 5 foot and maybe the problem stems from my feet not touching the ground. I wonder if this is causing a positional issue. I have MS and rely on such a product for my independence. I am not mobile at all so this solution would have never occurred to me. I will absolutely try a foot stool to rest my feet on.. I don't want to take any stars away because the product is well made with sturdy hand grips hand grips. I hope the foot stool fixes this problem. I hate the plane old seat riser that replaced this nicer and more suitable one. I sure hope the stepping stool fixes my problem.

Super easy to attach and remove and very comfortable
I was actually surprised at how well this low tech inexpensive item worked for me. I wanted one that did not require tools to attach and this toilet adds five needed inches of height and is so light and easy to take on and off for cleaning the underlying toilet or to move it to another toilet if you like. I deducted a star in my rating because I did have a hard time getting the right handle into the attachment to the lift. The left one slid in and locked just fine so there must have been a flaw in the engineering for the right handle. It was in far enough to make it usable but was a little wobbly so I finally resorted to a light cushioned tapping with a hammer to drive it into the piping to lock. Now it is perfect and I love it.

Does not fit new higher elongated toilets well
I have a Toto high toilet. It’s a newer toilet and although it looks like a typical elongated toilet, this elevated seat will not sit flush on the toilet bowl. You have to raise both the toilet seat and lip to install. When you go to screw it in to tighten it to the bowl, the back of the seat begins to rise up off the back of the toilet bowl. If you loosen the screw to have it sit flush again, it isn’t secured to your original toilet and it wobbles from side to side. I was able to get it to sit flush and secure it to a 25 year old Kohler toilet in my guest Bathroom. But I need it for the master bath. I like it’s height and side handles, so will keep it for now. Just know it doesn’t seat flatly on newer toilet models. I’ll just be aware it wobbles as a stand up. It’s in a bathroom closet with close walls, so not too worried about falling off of it. Otherwise easy to set up, easy to clean and the product itself is sturdy and appears to be well made. Very easy to use after hip replacement surgery.

The support that is needed.
This is a great riser for your needs. It’s easy to install, it stays in place and the handles are perfect for getting up/down while using.

Good product for what it's used for
Right height for 5'6" person and easy to use. Not obtrusive can easily be ignored. Knob cover falls off rather easily. Someone that leans heavily on arms might feel unsteady. P.S. The seat seems colder than a regular toilet seat unless I was overly warm in the middle of the night. A real waker-upper!!! A bit expensive in my opinion but I never had to shop for one in the past. EDIT: Be careful when pushing in arm locking buttons. They can slip out of place and end up in the tubing. The end of the tube is removeable thank goodness.
