The 120v connectors provided need to make the connection to your building wire in a junction box per electrical code.I used the lights by powering them from a 12v dc transformer. No junction box is required for low voltage connections. So I just cut off the 120v to 12v driver, (the little plastic box) They work great and are completely dimmable with my 12v dimmer switch. Two cons: These lights do run hot! I tested them at 135 degrees F. at full power. (too hot to touch) I would hesitate to use them in a confined space or in contact with insulation. My research indicates that anything less than 195 degrees F. is OK to be in contact with drywall. Secondly, I ordered a second set of 4 warm white and the color is noticeably different than the first 4 warm white lights that I ordered.

These lights work great! I have these set on a dimmer and installed them in my ceiling beams. I needed 2” lights because anything bigger would not fit in the ceiling beams. After install, these work great! They are fully dimmable with an LED dimmer switch and they are easy on the eyes (warm color version). These offer a nice range of dim to bright and are comfortable on the eyes regardless of brightness. These were very easy to install - I just used a hole saw and popped them in. The one thing I will say about these is that there is a quick connect to make wiring easy. In my opinion, the quick connect is a little flimsy and the wires can be pulled out relatively easily. If you put these inside a wall or in wood, that shouldn’t be an issue as no one should be tugging on the wires. It would be nice to see more durable, strong-holding connectors, though. I wouldn’t recommend these if you think there’s potential for the wires being tugged/pulled, as they could become disconnected at the quick connect. You may want to consider removing the quick connect and hardwiring it in those cases. Aside from that, these really made my room look great and we’re so happy with these lights!

UPDATE: I contacted the seller… and their response was overwhelming from a customer service perspective. They made it right and clearly went the extra mile... replacement lights are working perfectly… Seriously I can not say enough about how great the customer service was. I highly recommend them - best service I’ve had from a seller on AmazonThey were great - for 3 days! I used 3 of them in bathroom to replace old incandescent fixtures/bulbs. Beautiful! Day 4 we turned in on switch and heard a “pop”...NO MORE LIGHT! Checked and rechecked connections: all good...- I really liked these and was looking forward to not replacing bulbs for a LONG time...but NOT HAPPY NOW!!

These lights would work well in a curio cabinet, bookcase or other application where the 120vac wiring is not buried in the wall. Another reason for working close: the light has a good warm quality, but they don't put out that much brightness.I'm sure they are not UL approved, either, as there is no way to enclose the 120VAC side of the power supply. It's just two wires hanging out of a little plastic power supply box and a spring quick-connector. Don't lay this in the ceiling wire-nutted to your Romex as is.Great price, easy installation. This is the shape of the future for LED recessed lighting.

Super easy to install. I daisy chained 3 of them together above the kitchen counter. My only issue is using them with a dimmer switch. At the lowest setting, the lights have a noticeable flickering. Also, every time you turn the lights on, they flicker on, off, and back to the dimmer setting. I've tried troubleshooting with the dimmer switch's settings but have not found a solution.In my case, these work fine. They do the job, and despite the issues, you get what you pay for.Honestly, I may switch to a light that is more recessed in the future, as these lights are visibly bright LEDs in your peripheral vision from any direction. At least they aren't too dim.

The instructions enclosed do not match the video you have posted. The lights have two blue wires not a blue and a brown so how am I to know which is the line? Will update review once I see if I can get these to work. Not happy at allUPDATE - These lights turned out to be awesome. The electrical hook up was a breeze. If you are looking for bright downlights I highly recommend these! I will be purchasing enough to add to several rooms.

I am very particular about the lighting in my house. I purchased these lights along with some others. These lights are the perfect size for my daughter's dainty room. I was looking for the "pinhole" look and these are sufficient because they are so small. Nice warm light. I have four of these in a small room, with a feather light fixture in the middle. They are exactly what I wanted.

If you have never done electrical work before then you need to consult an electrician. THESE LIGHTS ARE NOT UL LISTED FOR AMERICAN USE. These lights have connectors on them which i believe could cause a fire hazard down the road. Remove them and use wire nuts to splice the connections, then use to electrical tape to tape the splices. The holes you need can be drilled out with a 2 1/4 inch holesaw.I personally knew these lights would be a little on the unsafe side but knowing where the hazards are is key. I bought these to replace my fluorescent light over my sink and they work perfectly fine.

Let’s start with the one day late delivery, not great, since this order was time critical.Installing the lights was simple,spring loaded clips. connecting them definitely not simple if you want them on one switch. Each light has its own mini transformer. Can’t just connect one to another to make it simpler with cabinet lighting. Would be okay for single pot lights. But don’t think it actually meets electrical code the way it’s connected to a power source.

Decent product but I’d use these with caution because these no Canadian approvals on them. The connectors are horrible as well and hazardous in my opinion. Good for my specific application but I wouldn’t be putting these in a cabinet or ceiling that’s for sure.

We went with the 2700 as we were trying to match some other lights in the house and they look great we used them on our floating shelves in the family room and couldn’t be happier..

Came and worked as advertised

Overall good product, just one of the items is defective...
