Useful for embroidery on Quilt blocks!!
This product is great. I soaked the block and the washed in machine and all the stabilizer came out. I wish more was available.

Sturdy stabilizer, goes away at the first wash -- not water soluble like Solvy
This is a very large roll (12" long by 5 1/4" in diameter) of sturdy stabilizer. I was only familiar with water soluble wash-away stabilizers before so I was a little thrown off when this one refused to melt when I took a wet cloth to it, but Shay at World Weidner explained that this material requires agitation in a washing machine to wash away. The "melt away" stabilizers are Solvy and Vilene. This stabilizer will wash away from uncovered areas, but its fibers will remain trapped under the stitches of solid areas, adding strength to your designs. Great material -- And thanks again World Weidner for your help and the always fast delivery.

Does NOT wash away!!
I used this as an extra piece floated under my hoop for free standing lace. I used the badgemaster in the hoop. After completing a 3 hours project, I tore this off and it left little fuzzy pieces around the entire 8 inch circle of FSL. When it didn't rinse out in warm or hot water, I soaked it over night. The next day, after rubbing and playing with it, the stabilizer remained in the FSL piece ruining my project. This DOES NOT wash away as advertised. In addition, it ripped apart during the stitching because it was not stable enough even as an extra piece. In all, this was the most disappointing stabilizer I have ever used. I would never use it again since the performance as a wash away is completely false and the performance as a tear away is poor, not holding up long enough to finish a project and then leaving those annoying little fuzzies on the entire edge of the circle. Total waste of $30. If I could leave a -0 for stars I would. I am an experienced embroidery person and a business owner who sells designs and finished products. Epic fail on this product!!!

works well
it is so easy to tear away and the bit that is left disappears when the finished project is washed.
