This also leads to them easily tangling. Bottom line
Ordered a replacement pair for the pair that I bought at a retail store. I wore the heck out of them working out and doing yard work. Thought they would last longer, but the wire is susceptible to damage because of the flimsiness of it. Company chose to reduce weight by using light copper and thin rubber coating on wire and leads. This also leads to them easily tangling. Bottom line, I can overlook this because of the comfort and fit of the earpieces as well as the quality sound. If they improved the wire and lead issue, they would get five stars.

When I ride my bike -to avoid entanglements- I like to pass my head phones under my shirt all ...
I have owned more headphones than I can remember. These are Ok except that if the remote gets too much sweat in them it starts to malfunction (skips songs, mic. dies, becomes unresponsive, etc.). My recommendation is that when you wear them make sure the remote is on the outer side of your top and as far away as possible from the sweat draining down your neck area (you can use the included clip). When I ride my bike -to avoid entanglements- I like to pass my head phones under my shirt all the way up and out the collar, but these headphones have the remote is so far away from the headphones that it stays under the shirt and gets drained in your sweat. After using them for a while I discovered they if I take them out from under my shirt and clip them around the collar bone / shoulder area to my shirt they stay drier and last a whole lot longer.BTW - If the remote ever starts to malfunction I want to let you know that I did recover a pair once by spraying them with electronic contact cleaner.

OK sound, terrible fit.
Sweat tends to kill headphones very quickly. After going through a pair every two or three months I decided to finally get a pair designed for exercise. Sennheiser is one of the few high-end manufacturers that make sports headphones, and I've enjoyed their flagship IE800 IEMs, so I thought they'd be a good choice for sports headphones. The sound is decent enough, but nothing spectacular. Bass, midrange, and treble are all present and are generally un-offensive. Overall tonal balance is fine. Clarity is good but not great. They're about what I would expect for a pair of in-ear headphones in this price range. They do isolate some noise but not a lot. This is probably to ensure you stay aware of your surroundings when outside. I usually run inside on a treadmill and while they take some of the edge off of the noise, the sound of the treadmill is still very obvious.I have two main issues. The first is with the fit. When I'm running, they fall out constantly. The loop that goes over the ear does not secure them very well. It will eventually slide off the top of the ear, which then cascades into the weight of the cable pulling the entire side out. This is made worse when the included ear tips do not fit well. For my left ear, the small tip is too small and likes to get pulled out. However, the medium tip is too big and falls out even easier because it won't seal deeply enough in the ear. When you're sweating, constantly re-seating these causes sweat to build up between the tips and your ear which can often block the sound. The second issue is with the remote built into the cable. If sweat enters the remote, it can cause the volume to jump around erratically. This purchase was disappointing because I've generally been happy with Sennheiser products. These will definitely be replaced with another brand once they stop working, but I've been considering replacing them before this happens.

Insanely Durable
I've owned these for about 3 years, I decided to write a review after I accidentally washed them in the wash machine. I was devastated as I assumed these would no longer work. However, by some sort of divine Sennheiser intervention, they still work! Crazy awesome!I hate wireless earbuds because I can't stand Bluetooth interference. I've tried them all and they all cut out in my congested populated urban area. So I need the best wired ones I could find, so far this is it.I go running about 5 times a week, usually 3-4 miles per day. These do the job. I wish they sounded bigger, bass is lacking, but since I only use them for around 20-40 minute jogs, I can survive with the lack of bass.I will upgrade whenever another (wired) product comes out, but the sound and fit is really going to have to blow me away.

Honestly, don't let the price make you think they sound and feel cheap. These are AMAZING!!
I had made a post on facebook for references for headphones and beats and bose were the two most highly recommended. Needed something to fit my ears and stay in while running, hiking, climbing, biking, etc. A guy at work had these and has had them for years, he said they sound great as well. I ordered them, figured for the price, if he was wrong I would try the more expensive recommendations. He was NOT wrong! I love these earbuds. Fit great, stay in my ears, had different size inserts, the part that goes around your ear is soft and doesn't have a scratchy hard plastic seam like some do. The bass is good. Totally shocked that something so reasonably priced could be so great. I would buy again and highly recommend.

Will Not Stay in Your Ears
Listen to what other say... these buds will NOT stay in your ears if you move around much.I bought these knowing that others have claimed they will not stay in your ears while exercising (I run). Burned them in with the JL Audio burn-in sounds for 24 hours. And, I was very impressed with the sound. So I too them out for my first run. Low-and-behold the reviews were right, they came out of my ears quickly and I was constantly fussing with them the entire run. So I tried the larger ear-sleeves for 2 weeks. No better. Switched to the smaller ear-sleeves then they pretty much never stayed in at all. Very dissapointed. On the plus side, when they are in your ears they sound excellent. Good bass, not to brassy, good voice reproduction if you like podcasts or audiobooks.
