Fish Hatchery Management

This seems to be a reprint made using standard copier technology, which means that photosfrom the original did not get reproduced properly. Diagrams, charts and all text are reproducedperfectly.Still, for the money, I rate this as a good buy.

This book is aimed more for hatcheries that are raising Trout, Salmon, Catfish and other food fishes. However, there is so much information in this book that even ornamental fish hatcheries will find an incredible amount of useful information. The chapters on Fish Nutrition are especially helpful.

I am very disappointed in buying this book, not because of the content, we have a couple original copies at the hatchery I work at; I was super excited to make this purchase so I could have my very own copy.This is a very poor quality reproduction, there are pages where it is very difficult to read because of the photocopied pages were not good copies. The pages are much smaller than original. Pictures are not useable; they are blury, do not provide a visual aide, and are washed out.My copy was printed the 20th of August 2017 (three days before it arrived) that seemed odd to me that no where in the description did I see that it was a reproduction. I could have achieved the same thing by borrowing a copy from work and using a photo copier. Ok that may be a little harsh it does have a lot great content (as long as the information you seek is not on a page that is faded) and it is glued together nicely.But all in all I would rather have my money back.Another frustrating side note is that the reference pages more often than not are faded so if you wanted more information on a certain topic you would have a difficult time researching the articles when you can't read the titles.

This is a great, in-depth look into fish culture and a useful tool for production based hatcheries. Its worth the price because you'll have this and use this more often than most books you own in this field.

While this is a good book, the $14.99 copy is a very very poor reproduction. While the look inside view is fine, the actual version is very hard to read due to poor quality reproduction and very small print. The printed page is only about 80 percent the size of the original pages. I regret purchasing this copy. Gary Sprague

I have read some recent books on this subject. I was surprised to find more detailed info in this old book. Very detailed. The pictures are very faint but I wasn't worried about that because I have seen them in other books.

Never seen such an ugly printing. It looks like it was scanned, converted in low quality jpeg and than printed with an home quality ink jet printer.The book is a classic always nice to check but not in this disgusting edition.Don't buy it.
