I drive a black car in Florida, y'already know it gets hot af. Stuck this in my car. now its waaaaaaaay cooler. I have not had any issues with this product. It is just as described, and works very well. This is a **LEGIT TOP TIER PRODUCT**. Highly recommendA few things to note1. It is made longer than the height of most windshields so, you'll probably need to cut it, as the instructions state, but it is lokey hard cuttin through it, so just prepare for that lol.2. When you stick on the suction cups, **FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS**, it's not rocket science, make sure the window, and the cups are clean, and give a solid day to settle before using it (cuz it gets tighter over the course of a hot day, since it will shrink, creating tension=better suction). If you dont put it on right, it wont have good suction.2. This product does retract automatically once you unhook it, but you def gotta close it by hand(at least most of the way) because **IF YOU LET GO, IT WILL FLING ACROSS YOUR WINDSHIELD**. This can cause it to move excessively, making the shade bunch up, lose suction, or general damage (to it and possibly the inside of your car).

I hate to write bad reviews...but I think I should let people know that I did not have the luck that I hoped I would have with this product. Some people said it worked great for them, other said it did not work at all. I fell into the latter sample of consumers. First off, it didn't fit well, but it states buy big and trim down. I trimmed it down, which was easy and clean, but it still didn't fit great. But the very first time I opened it up and pulled it across my dash, the suction cup came off in about five seconds. The shade flew across the dash and completely piled itself up in a huge wad of sunshade in the corner of my dash...okay... It straightened out and folded back into an accordion shape fairly easy. Second attempt...the other side with the bracket popped off and came flying across my brand new 2019 dash from the other side! With the weight of the brackets this was a bit disturbing for my truck is brand new. I wadded it up and chucked in the back seat, next stop garbage can.

It took me a couple try’s to get the suction cups to stick firmly. I recommend putting a little water on the cup before pressing it to your windshield. This will help force out air bubbles and when the water evaporates you’ll have a very secure suction mount.I use this shade everyday at work and it’s awesome for keeping my car cool in the parking lot. I’ve had quite a few people comment on it’s self retracting convenience and I’ve been asked a few times to share the link so others can buy it too. Definitely a good purchase and nice that it can be trimmed to the correct size. I love that it’s very compact when not in use and doesn’t block my vision whatsoever.

This works pretty well and I'm happy with it. It's much better than having to deal with the traditional non-attached shade which I find bulky, cumbersome, and dealing with finding a place to keep it when not in use (usually in the cargo area, away from where it is used). Installing was easy although the instructions are a bit outdated—one of the 3 suction cups (2 on the passenger side, 1 on the driver's side) has been upgraded, but they don't show that in the instructions. Also they say to just pull it across the area where the rear-view mirror is attached to the windshield. That works, but I decided to cut out a section of the shade to make it fit around the mirror better. The one thing that needs improvement, besides the instructions, is the upgraded suction cup I referred to previously. It is a smaller cup that has a lever attached to it for making sure the suction is strong. But even though this is better than not having that lever, the tension on the shade (because it is retractable), pulls that suction cup towards the other side, making the shade less effective. If only leaving the shade on for a day or less, this isn't much of an issue as the cup will only be pulled maybe 2-3 inches or less. But I still have to remove that cup, reposition it, and then fasten it again. But once I left it on for several days and found the cup pulled all the way to the center of the windshield, so it was only covering half of it. I'd recommend making that cup bigger so it has more holding power. The other side that is stationary (passenger side) has two larger cups and they are holding very well. Overall, a solid addition to my Volvo XC70.

I really loved this window shade. It is really easy and convenient to use. Unfortunately, the suction cups worked so well that they peeled the window tinting rightt off the windshield. I still have the shade, but am afraid to use it my my new (used) car.

The first one I got did not stick, and I felt it was because the suction cups were not big enough. I sent an email to the makers and they not only got back to me quickly and courteously, they actually said they took my suggestion for bigger suction cups and might or were updating them to bigger size. However, in the meantime, they sent me additional suction cups and I have to say the first must have been defective in some way because the ones they sent me are fantastic. They have not fallen down and the convenience of just being able to pull them across my windshield instead of having to wrestle with ones that you have to maneuver and fuss with... well, it is fantastic. I would buy these again and the service and response was above and beyond.
