Incredible Experiments With Chemical Reactions and Mixtures (Magic Science)

The experiments are very doable and interesting. That is the required parts are common, the instructions are easy to follow and the effects are inherently interesting even if the experimenter does not understand the underlying principle.I have seen about 5 books of experiments for kids and this is my favorite for my 4 year old.The only area for improvement is that I don't relish the entertaining commentary at the end of instructions that is trying to make the experiments more interesting. It just makes the instructions longer and it is stuff I have to ignore. If I wanted that kind of stuff, I would read a comic book.

Wasn't a lot of information, not very useful past the age of four, frankly. But a cute book.

The authors have written a book with experiments for children ages 6-12. In this book, they will learn about simple chemical processes. Some of the concepts they will explore are surface tension, viscosity, the properties of carbon dioxide, and much more. The experiments are great learning tools and are fun for the children to perform. Most of the materials needed for the experiments could be found in your home. I can see this book being used in the home and in a classroom setting.*I received this book for review - all opinions are my own*
