The quality of this turmeric is great.

This is my latest addition to my drawer of Indian spices, and it is really good! The Rani brand of spices always makes my Indian recipes taste authentic and delicious, and I use turmeric for many vegetable dishes and paneer dishes.

I am pleasantly surprised at how much I have used this spice. It is milled so nicely. It has a powder like consistency so it is not grainy at all. It blends so much better and is more silky of a texture. The taste is superb. I would recommend this spice and will reorder as needed.

Quality was decent but I’d use the word fresh reluctantly. It may have been fresh when it was dried but make no mistake this is dry root not fresh. Good taste , smell will do in a pinch if you can’t get fresh root. I keep some in a jar for emergencies.

Smells good and great color

It arrived top-sealed in a plastic jar, with an additional seal under the lid. The taste is clean. Rani claims 3% or slightly more curcumin, which I accept based on the history of the brand. I take 3/4 teaspoon twice a day with 1/3 tsp ginger, 1/3 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp of pepper, mixed into a quarter cup of cold water. It mixes quickly and completely and goes down nicely. I bought it to relieve prostatitis which it did, and it also has made years of aches and pains less intense. I recommend Rani Premium Export Quality Turmeric based on quality and on value @ ~$15/2lbs.
