Starter took 5 minutes to install and was a direct replacement. You only need a 15mm and a 13mm wrench to install it.

Replacement for our 2002 Jeep TJ. Everything was exactly the same except for the S terminal on the starter. Original had a bolt on connection and this one is a female spade connection. Had to cut the old one off and put a female spade type crimp fitting on the wire to make it work. Not a fan of the crimp fittings, wish they would have had the bolt on connection.

Price was excellent. Product very close to the factory model; elect. connector on Solenoid comes as flat, spade terminal; easy enough, cut off factory plug and crimp on insulated flat spade lug connector.On 4 wd jeeps, I'm sure this area is much to access from laying on back position.

My 204 jeep TJ was slow cranking so I thought it was the battery, then read Jeep forums that suggested the starter maybe the culprit. After comparing prices from auto parts stores vs Amazon, I chose amazon. They delivered next day. I installed it in about 15 minutes. Remember to disconnect your battery negative. Was pleasantly surprised after installing how quick this started my 03 Jeep Wrangler TJ. I was still using the original starter and it was starting to give up the ghost. Was happy with the price and quality of this starter and hope to get a long life out of it.

Purchased this starter for use in 2004 Jeep Wrangler, installed in December 2017 - came back 5 years later to say its still working well!...although the price has certainly changed since then as well (I purchased for $55, item has outpaced inflation significantly). Other than that, no complaints!

2006 Jeep Wrangler with a slow/no crank condition. Replaced battery that was 3 years old but had the same issue with a new battery. Installed started (very easy install) and now it cranks quick and starts easily.Nice product.

So far so good. Only had it for a week , but works as a starter should work. Good for the price too.

20 min replacement, fits perfectly. One observation though, I am reasonably certain that my old starter failed because of water intrusion. This new starter has a hole at or near the bottom with some type of plug with a hole in it. I am hoping that it is for water drainage. At least I can see no other use for it.

Bought this to replace a dead starter motor on my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Installation took well less than an hour in the driveway. The Jeep starts like new again.Tip: When you replace your starter motor, it's a good idea to replace your battery too if it's a few years old. A weak battery will shorten the life of your new starter. I replaced my battery a couple weeks before replacing the starter motor.

Product got to Canada within a few days and installed on 2004 manual Jeep TJ in 15mins. Started up instantly, happy with purchase thus far.
