Laundry Basket Quilts Traditional Quilt Pattern - Alaska (71.5" x 71.5")

I saw the finished product on a quilt site, and just fell in love!! It may look complicated, but you make a few blocks over and over, just change the colors and orientation on the colors. I am having a blast watching the pieces come together.Directions are easy to follow with diagrams to show you the way. It really looks more complicated than it is. I did myself a favor, and bought the plastic templates for cutting all the pieces. Believe it or not, there are only 4 shapes! The templates are quilt ruler thick, and the paper backing adds just enough friction to help them template not slide.This may not be for a new quilter, but with some assistance, a new quilter would be able to accomplish this. So pleasing to watch the blocks come together. Fun pattern and the results are beautiful!!

Made this quilt for my son as a wedding gift. It is beautiful. My guild is considering making it for their Opportunity Quilt for next year.

get the templates to make this Quilt a breeze! you still have to match well and have a quarter inch seam accurately, but wow what a difference a great template makes!! this is stunning and a well written pattern. I did not run short on any of the materialsno picture yet, since this is a gift and it is still a secret!!

This a nice pattern, but the creators YT videos really help.Quilt is fairly simple, tho it looks complicated. Wish it came with the rainbow colorway as well, kind of expensive for such a simple pattern.
