Always keep one on hand
I have yet to use this one but know how important it is the to keep this pump motor capacitor on hand during summer. SW Florida is a lightening center and any strike on the power grid ends up frying these capacitors. In that case your pool become unusable. However, this capacitor is an easy, quick replacement if you already have one on your shelf, and you can do it yourself at 1/5 the cost of a pool repair company service. (Just make sure to follow safe discharge, circuit turn off, and all required, safe electrical procedures)

Good capacitor
Used it to get a pool pump working. Connected with ease and pump started immediately.

Perfect for Pentair Whisperflo pool pump.
This got my pool pump going again. Came home to find my pool pump was no longer running and the pump was hot to the touch. With this heat wave we've been having it seems run capacitors are failing left and right, thankfully I could hear the pool pump motor trying to start and figured it was the capacitor. Dropped in this new capacitor and the pump started right up. This capacitor fit under the cover with no issues and was a perfect replacement.

Exact replacement for swimming pool motor
Swimming pool was green on Thursday, and it turned out the pump wasn't running, just humming. Similar problem recently with one of the rentals, and we bought a new pump, but it turned out to be just a capacitor, and a fairly cheap fix. After my wife called the pool repair guy, who couldn't come by until next week, I decided to take a look myself. There is a hump-shaped part on top of the motor that I guessed housed the capacitor - remembering my old car-repair days with AC vs DC motors. So I took it off and found a replacement on Amazon for about $10. Bit of a knuckle-breaker to get at it, but I did the replacement this morning and Voila! it works.
