Melissa & Doug Stamp-a-Scene Stamp Pad: Fairy Garden - 20 Wooden Stamps, 5 Colored Pencils, and 2-Color Stamp Pad

Like- The stamps are good quality, they work well and the details show up nicely. Neutral- The stamps are small so coloring them takes some concentration. The box they come in is nice, but it is a little odd that it has no lid... I will make one out of the cardboard box this came in. The pencils are no better then they ought to be, not great but I've seen worse. Dislike- The ink pad ink is very weak. The ink is 'washable' so I suppose i should have known that I would need to get my own pads. Over all i have no real complaints with this set, it is great for what i want... Play with children and making postcards.

20 June 2020 This was present for an 6 year old. She loved it and still plays with it to this day. The only thing we have had to replace was the ink pad. It comes with nice rubber stamps that are attached to a wood block, there is no cheap plastic in this kit. Everything is made with great quality just like all of Melissa and Doug stuff. Even all these years later this kit is still performing like the day we bought it.

This is a well made and constructed stamp set that has limitless possibilities for little minds to create with! The stamps worked very well, the ink dries quickly even on cheap paper and after creating a scene they can spend their time coloring it in. Its a great gift for any child who loves to color or draw. Its easy for any 8+ year old to use and offers hours of entertainment.

This was a gift for my grand-daughter. She loves art and drawing and adding stamps and ink pads to her art chest was a wonderful idea. I use stamps and ink pads as I am a card maker and seeing her doing the same as myself is a reward. Great value and the stamps are well made.

To start with, I have never used stamps personally. When I bought this set for my grandkids, I had no experience to help them. That being said, the quality of the stamps is very good. They are wood, with a rubber stamp bottom. The variety of cure designs is great. The one issue I’ve not been able to solve: How to keep the stamp pads clean during use. The ink pads seem to easily contaminate each other if the stamps are not cleaned after each use. To me, it seems a bit cumbersome. I have started giving each kids a wet paper towel to use after stamping. The older kids get it, the younger ones not so much. Maybe there is a better way to clean them, than I am aware of also, the wooden box used to store them does not have a lid. If used, the stamps are easily knocked out if it is bumped around. Still a good bye for the price.

I bought these for my 5 year old daughter. She is very in to arts and crafts and this allows her to let her imagination run free on paper. The stamps are adorable and made with quality materials. We love Melissa and Doug and I will buy their products anytime I can. They honestly last forever! I have 2 kids and I babysit full time so all of our toys are used very hard, Melissa and Doug are the only ones who last in my house!

No issues with the stamp pad being dried out for us. The stamps work wonderfully and are actually made from wood. The wooden box they come in is great for storing as well. My four year old really enjoys them. The ink is washable too so no worries about it staining the skin. Not sure about clothing yet. These work really well with the Melissa and Doug Easel Pads because the paper is large and provides a lot of room for stamping.
