Tetra 29234 Half Moon Aquarium Kit, 10-Gallon

I've had this aquarium for almost three weeks now and absolutely love it. I was tired of my standard rectangular aquarium that I kept for over 15 years. I wanted something a little more stylish, but prices kept me from purchasing until I found this. The price is right, and actually $30 lower than a very similar model at Petsmart! The only thing I'm not thrilled about with this aquarium is that the filter is a little weak. It's for a 3-10 gallon aquarium where I would prefer the next model up whisper filter which is for 10-20. Not a huge problem because the filter can be replaced for less than $15. Note: If you are keeping a beta, the weaker filter is a plus because they don't like much for current in the tank. Also: I read another review that mentioned the buyer used part of the box as a background for the tank. I took his advice and love the way it looks.

This is a decent start for beginner tanks. The glass is a step up from acrylic and the setup looks nice. The crappy filter is not really strong enough to adequately filter this tank, especially since most beginners will overstock their tank. The light is good for low light plants, although if you're wanting some higher growth it'll need upgrading. Overall it's a decent kit for the price, just do your research and look into upgrading the filter.I've attached two pictures of the tank with a betta and 3 celestial pearl danios as well as a light assortment of plants. I'll be adding more plants and moss as they grow, as well as upgrading the filter.

So happy I got this tank for my betta! It's a upgrade from a 3.5 gal. I just wasn't ok with such a small tank as a forever home for my betta! So lucky that this arrived not broken as I read past reviews. That was my main concern. Was very annoying getting the tape residue off the inside wish they didn't tape it in there. But after a little olive oil and some elbow grease it came off. No leaks yet and everything works great. I don't think the filter is strong enough tho. At first I thought current would bother betta so I cut a water bottle and put it over flow to slow down no issues with betta. I had to tape plastic over the main feeding hole because my betta would jump out. Would buy again for sure it's a lot bigger than thought would be but fits on night stand with room to spare.

I adopted my kid's college goldfish, who started life in a tiny, tiny plastic tank. .When I adopted him I put him in a 2 1/2 gal. fishbowl so he could swim around, and he outgrew that within a few months.I felt bad for him so I upgraded him to this tank yesterday and is very happy.So am I!The tank is well made and visually pleasing - - much more so than the traditional rectangular ones - and the filter is so quiet.Also comes with a LED light and a heater (which I am not sure I will use).Good deal for the money

Only giving it a three because they had taped a sign inside the glass and the tape residue is almost impossible to remove. Essentially the whole glass had tape, and using the adhesive removers only seemed to spread the tape residue around the whole tank. Will have to clean it fully before I'm comfortable putting fish inside.Otherwise, everything the tank required was inside, and it was bubble wrapped nicely. Really upset about the tape though. It's everywhere.

We went from a 3 gallon tank to this 10 Gallon Tank. We absolutely love it! You can see the fish so well now, and they have so much more room to swim. We did buy a better filter and the tank now stays clearer longer. We really enjoy watching the fish swimming. Its very relaxing.

After a rocky start the aquarium turned out very well. My first package arrived shattered but a replacement was ordered free of charge and was packaged much better than the first. I love my second aquarium! It is exactly what I was looking for.

The aquarium itself is very nice. The filter and heater that come with it are not. I tried the filter that came with the tank and it couldn’t keep up. I only have 6 fish in the tank all around 1in to 1.5. I ended up buying a better filter and haven’t had a issue since. The heat is ok but it’s preset for a temperature and can’t be adjusted.
