Everything you could want in a $20 set of pedals!
As an active daily urban bike commuter in the Pacific Northwest (who likes to wander off on gentle gravel / off-road mountain trails over the weekends), I'm probably not the typical target customer for these cruiser pedals. These were actually originally intended as a budget-friendly placeholder until I could get ahold of more "proper" performance pedals, but (even as I'm upgrading fork, wheels and other components on my custom titanium hybrid), found these simple flat-platform pedals an integral part of my idyllic ride! While undoubtedly being heavier than the choice of most trail-crushing time-trialers, the added ~150 grams (about 1/3 pound) for my purposes is well worth the enduring comfort of the robust wide-platforms so I can actually enjoy those multi-day touring rides!! I find the rubber lining also provides fairly good traction even as I'm mashing on the pedals uphill in the cold rain as well (with shoe slippage being pretty rare) without cutting into my shins (or my nice shoes) the way cleat-based pedals tend to. Two-and-half years of hearty riding, they still seem to ride good as new (with only a few scratches here and there acquired from the occasional bike tipping over on the concrete). Their overall durability, comfort and value for their great utility has convinced me to invest in another pair or two (for building up a friend's bike and/or future insurance). In sum, I think these are great for a wide range of regular riders, not just your barefoot beach cruisers :-)

Get your tools out, because we have some work to do.
The media could not be loaded. You'll need to remove the black dust cover with your nail if you're lucky, or get a flat head to pop it out. You'll need a 15 wrench, and 12 socket to get it lose. It's on tight. Then adjust it so that the spindle has no play, but leave room for the pedal to spin freely. It already has grease so there's no need to add any. I'll update if I have any problems, but it's definitely has a heavy-duty build so I expect it to hold up.

Great Pedals - Great Value - Super Performance - Non Slip
We are an avid cycling family of five (3 teenagers). We ride road bikes, mountain bikes, vintage/antique bikes - and when on the coast, we ride cruisers. There's just nothing like riding a nice beach cruiser at the beach! These are great pedals for a good price - perfect for cruiser style bikes. The rubber pads really help keep your feet from slipping for most types of footwear - even in the rain. The bearings feel a little rough at first - but these are not hundred dollar pedals with top notch bearings. And, after about 50 miles, these bearings smooth out nicely - to the point of being silky - smooth.I dont' think there are any perfect pedals out there for cruisers - but these are as close to perfect as I've found.

Good looking pedals
Got these because my stock pedals were starting to come apart. I installed them on my motorized beach cruiser and they look great and feel pretty comfortable. The rubber surfaces help add some extra comfort to. They are 1/2 pedals which is a pretty common pedal thread size. The larger size of the pedals allows for easier pedaling on a heavy motorized bike like mine with a wide crank. The overall structure feels like it will last and handle the vibrations of my engine pretty well. It's metal vs. stock plastic and these metal pedals feel better made than my stock pedals. There are just two minor issues I had with the ones I got. First issue was the bearings in the left pedal felt like it was lacking grease (didn't rotate smoothly) so I had to add more. And second issue was one of the reflectors felt a bit loose which seems to be a common problem with bike pedals.

Threads were not machines properly.
Threads did not screw in because they were not machined properly. Bike shop confirmed that the pedals were no good.
