My cat absolutely loves these bonito flakes, she goes wild the second she hears the bag. They’re a perfect little treat, and I like that the bag is generously sized so it lasts a while. The zip-lock closure is a big plus too, because it keeps everything fresh and makes it easy to store without making a mess. If you have a picky cat or just want a high-value treat, these are a hit in our house.

Cats love it, but just remember it contains mercury, which is not great for Man or beast.

My cat isn’t all that food motivated but she has absolutely lost her mind over these. They have surpassed all other treats as the favorite. Even her greenies, which I didn’t think would ever be beat. I don’t think any car has ever loved anything as much as she loves these. She screams at me every morning and all day for more bonito flakes. I don’t even need an alarm clock anymore. She will literally jump on my head in the morning if I don’t get up and give her bonito flakes. She is a fiend and I am scared. I had to hide the big bag and put a small amount in a plastic container, which also helps to mask the strong fish smell. She knocks the container on the floor and I caught her chewing on it once. This is not normal behavior for her. I got these to replace a much more expensive bonito flake I was using and she was only kind of “meh” about. I thought this was too big of a bag when I got it in the mail but she would probably eat the whole bag in a sitting if I let her.

Was buying a similar ,few dollars cheapoer brand, that would arrive mostly all crumbs,and looked a little burnt. My cats who normally love, snubbed it. This brand they Love. I ordered seperately,so it wouldnt get bounced around w other items,turning to crumbs. Arrived intact. Cats went crazy for it. Looks/smells fresh,not burnt or stale.

The cats do eat it. But in comparison to prior products that I've purchased, the flakes are larger and not as dry and crispy. I have to tear the pieces apart to make consumption easier. It was easier with the other brands to simply crumble the flakes with my fingers.

My cats are crazy about these Bonito flakes! The flakes are large so they don't make too much of a mess. The smell is very pleasant, like smoked fish. Keep the bag well hidden and seriously consider full body armor when feeding this if your cats are as crazy about these Bonito flakes as mine are!

This was advertised for cats. Not true, it’s not for pets but for humans. Maybe human grade but salt content is too high for our pets. I will be returning this because it’s false advertising.

Great buy. Beautiful quality. The cats may not notice the difference but I do. This is an expensive product but worth it.for the only 2 of my cats who eat these flakes. I also appreciated the excellent packaging as the spoiled brats will only eat the flakes and not dust. I guess I'll have to order another bag.
