Excellent for peeling butternut squash quickly
I bought this, as I like to eat butternut squash, and was sick of fighting with the squash to get the skin off with a normal little veg peeler...I thought to myself "there must be an easier way!". So I searched, and found it! OXO Good Grips Large Vegetable Prep Peeler is the way forward! It's almost too good! It peels the butternut squash quickly, and is strongly built, so you don't have to worry that you are going to damage it. It's strong, sharp, well built... but just be extra careful of your hands - it is super sharp, and I did end up cutting my hand badly with it. So just be careful and you will be pleased with how quickly you can peel a squash!

Great at the job but watch your fingers.
This is the perfect gadget for julienne fruit and vegetables - have used for apples, carrots and cucumber. Very effective at its job but watch your hands and fingers as it is lethally sharp and will score your skin brutally. maybe wear a cooking glove (not mandolin level ER trip but you will notice a little sting from the scores).

Fabulous for swedes!
Bought for ease of peeling swedes (turnip) which it does with tremendous ease! It’s actually brilliant at smaller veggies too!Worth paying that little extra for the quality!

Great Carrot Shredder!!
I was so happy to find this. I was getting frustrated trying to make julienne carrots. It took forever and they were always too big. Then I saw this little shredder and its so easy. I use it for making Vietnamese Spring Rolls. someone told me it was used for Korean cooking. It works great. Its fast and inexpensive.
