Solid little machine
Update 4/15/2016: If you're getting frequent BSODs on this system in Windows 10, try disabling "C State Support" in the CPU settings of the BIOS- I was plagued with BSODs for the last 6 months (I don't know what I did to get that started, but I probably spent over 80 hours of my nights and weekends trying to resolve that problem). I've read that disabling that will prevent the CPU from being able to drop speed/voltage during idle, but that's not the case. My computer still drops down to 1.2GHz when it goes to idle. Absolutely nothing else appears to have changed besides the increased system stability. I'm now at 11 days without a BSOD, which feels like a miracle right now.My original review: Been running solid for me, so far. A huge step up from the Abit-based Core2Quad system I built 6 years ago, and in a case small enough to sit beside my monitor on my desktop. My setup includes a i7-4790K, 32GB DDR3-1600, GeForce GTX 760 4GB, Samsung 840EVO SSD, 1 TB Hitachi 7200RPM HDD, and a Pioneer BD-Burner. I love the number of ports- USB 3.0 and eSATA are nice additions. So far, the 500 watt PSU seems to be doing a great job. The Shuttle Ice cooler does well too- this rig idles in the upper 30s (C), and reaches a max of 65C when gaming (Watch Dogs and Arkham Origins are the only games I've tried so far). I haven't attempted to overclock, nor do I intend to. Mostly just using it for Adobe Creative Cloud apps, Maya, Blender, and Unity.I knocked a star off just because it's a little on the noisy side compared to my former mid-tower setup as well as a modded Shuttle SK41G I used to have as an HTPC. I've tried quieter fans to ameliorate the noise (tried a Noctua, a Scythe, a Thermaltake), but my temps shot up 15 degrees C. I'm learning to live with it as the compactness is worth the tradeoff to me.

I got mine for an awesome deal (around 250-300 i think) The SPDIF broke
I got mine for an awesome deal (around 250-300 i think)The SPDIF broke, Customer Support sent me a replacement header bracket which still didn't work. I think the SPDIF audio chip broke or something. I ended up getting an HDMI extractor because I didn't want to go through the hassle of disconnecting the motherboard, shipping it, and being without it for 2 weeks (it's our media PC, so no TV for 2 weeks kinda blows)

Ok for the price, But some issues
Nice case for price, a few cosmetic issues, POWER SUPPLY IS SMALL SLIM SIZE NOT NORMAL SIZE. Not sure if the 500w is going to be enough juice for my high end graphics card!

Nice design terrible support.
I like the design of this case but I was sent a unit which did not display anything at all. After several days I was able to get someone at Shuttle to respond to my support request. They said that the BIOS needed to be updated and to contact the RMA department. That took an additional day. Two days later a package arrived with a loose BIOS chip and no instructions. The chip appears to be a surface mount chip that would need to be soldered onto the logic board. Obviously I am not going to do that to a brand new computer which was DOA!

System motherboard issues
The motherboard has problems recognizing mSata. System would crash. Needs a bios fix.

DOA, locks up at random intervals
DOA, will not run for more than an hour or so without hard lockup. After swapping out RAM, video card, etc., I finally moved all the components to a another motherboard and my CPU, RAM, video card all work great. Bad motherboard.

Does exactly what it says on the tin
This is my third Shuttle system and I've always been very pleased with them. This one is no exception, however there are a few small niggles :- The build quality has gone down considering this is priced as a premium system - the layout on this one compared to the previous generation is much worse. It's mostly stupid things like the wires are not very bendy and are not very well routed, the connectors all feel very cheap, like they'd fall out, the 4 thick wires for the front panel go right through the middle of the box, don't bend and are in the way of just about everything. You feel like you're forcing it all together when you put stuff into it.- It advertises as being able to fit a full sized graphics card, however mine only just fits in, and the back of the circuit board on it is all of about 3mm away from the (metal) drive bay. If they touch it'd probably kill it. The power supply cable that connects to the top of italso has very little space for the cables.- Some kind of interaction between Windows 7 and the onboard / onchip graphics of the i7 processor stops the onboard HDMI from working. Not a problem for me but seems to be recognised on the intel website. Not directly related to this box specifically, but worth noting since it seems to be the Intel chipset drivers at fault.Having listed all that it might seem like I hate it, but actually I think it's a brilliant system, but I'm not sure I'd say shuttle are the best any more...

Magischer Kubus
