This powder is wild. I love holographic powders and glitters and wanted to give the chrome look a try. I wanted to upload some pictures but I couldn't get the rainbow to show up on camera! =( There is a learning curve to this and the company is absolutely awesome about following up and helping you with any questions or concerns you might have. It takes a little trial and error to find that sweet spot for your no wipe top coat, depending on the brand. I'm using Aimeili NWTC. In my personal experience, this works best if you time your lamp yourself. I found that 15-20 seconds of cure time is the sweet spot for my top coat that it has that light bit of tack to it. You don't want it too tacky, just lightly cured. The silicone tools they sent actually worked perfectly and I didn't need the wedges I bought as a backup just in case. You do need to apply an good amount of pressure to get it to really stick and flatten against the gel top coat. There seems to be a sweet spot for the amount of pressure, too. But once you find it, the rest of your nails are very easy. It looked stunning with a top coat over it after! This powder seems to not be really finely milled, which i actually like because I wanted to see the individual glitters. I'll be trying other brands too to see the different effects of the powders and how each one performs in the future. But this one is absolutely lovely and I'll absolutely be buying a ton more!

I ordered this on a whim after seeing a similar item on BuzzFeed. I'd never heard of it or seen it in person, but had to have it! I read the info and reviews on page for this and similar powders, then followed the instructions in the package when it arrived. I've used this twice now, and it's absolutely gorgeous. It doesn't provide 100% opaque coverage, but it's close, and unlike with similar nail polishes, this powder doesn't make the UV gel chip off. My second attempt looked even better than my first. I use a 48W UV LED lamp. (I'm going to review it tonight, so check my profile for the exact model.) The first time I did my nails, I cured the PrettyDiva no wipe top coat for 30 seconds and had no trouble getting the polish to stick on or buff off. I'm attaching a photo of the first time I used it. The second time, I cured the same no wipe top coat for just 25 seconds, and I got much better coverage. You can hardly tell that there's any aubergine under there. In all but a few tiny spots where I was overzealous with my buffing, my holographic nails look foiled. I love this, and ordered more colors the same day I tried it for the first time. The experience seems to be hit or miss for many, so my best advice is to play around with technique. That's the only way to solve problems with gel polish. Everyone is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. Two more notes - use a topcoat that you can dedicate exclusively to this, unless you can be extremely diligent about wiping off the brush. It's almost impossible not to get some in the brush when applying the final top coat. And, if you are going to do just one or two nails, seal all your other nails before you start with this powder. It is easy to get a few sparkles on adjacent nails.

I just did this and I'm still wearing it. Unfortunately my work lighting does not bring out the brilliance of this holographic polish, because when the sunlight hits it, you can't take your eyes off it. Here's how I applied it, perfect on the first try: 1. Used my normal gel base coat. 2. Cured under my LED light for 30 seconds. 3. Applied one coat of white gel polish - any color would work, in fact, no color and just the base coat would probably work. 4. Cured for 30 seconds under my LED light 5. Bought the One Dor no wipe top coat as recommended and applied one coat 6. Counted to 10 under my LED light 7. Took the eyeshadow looking applicator and dipped it into the powder - a little goes a long way 8. Using a circular motion, covered the entire nail with the powder. You will see the effect immediately. 9. Repeat with all nails 10. Apply one more top coat. I used the no wipe top coat I used on the previous coat because you will get particles of the powder into your no wipe top coat and I didn't want to get them in two separate bottles of top coat that I have. I like my gellish top coat better than the One Dor no wipe top coat I purchased just for this powder, it seems to be stronger/harder, but I've had this polish on for a week now with no chipping. I'm so excited that this turned out so well and was as easy as it was. I read lots of reviews with instructions before I did this and only did one nail first to make sure it worked. I'm for sure doing my toes with this powder next. I'm excited to try the chrome powder. Have fun!

So, first and foremost. Don't buy this product. If you are like me, and recently discovered this amazing new-ish trend, of HOLO nails...and couldn't wait to get your hands on this magic powdery stuff, and came to this product....go elsewhere! While this product is pretty, and is technically holographic, it is NOT the chrome powder stuff you see in the video tutorials. This is more of a fine glitter, which had I known, I wouldn't have wasted my money, as I have lots of HOLO fine glitters already. I was here looking for that good stuff! The magical stuff! I must have watched 100 tutorials on the holo chrome powders before I bought some. And as an avid nail art/polish person, I figured, easy peasy. I have all the stuff to do this, except the holo powder, and no wipe top coat. So I purchased both. Was so excited when it came in, I got right to it....only to be so disappointed. This is NOT the good stuff I wanted! I can't even get it to stick to my nails! I tried many different times, different techniques, and different applicators. All with the same result...no stick. I could get it to sit on my nail, like a glitter, but as soon as I put a top coat on, it wiped off with the brush. I do not recommend this to anyone. Go to a reputable source, on their actual webpage if you want the real magical holo chrome powder.

I read everyone's reviews, and I too had problems. This powder doesn't play well with others, but I found my work around for the products I used it with. I tried it with several brands, but for me, it worked best with my Gellen base coat, black gel coat, and wipe top coat. I cured my base coat for 60 seconds, and cured both black gel coats for 60 seconds each. When I got to the top coat, i cured the top coat for 7 seconds under my Sun LED lamp. Then i wiped the nail with a dry circular makeup sponge. I then lightly dabbed the eyeshadow applicator it came with into the holo powder and rubbed that into the nail. My picture shows the result. It did turn out well.
