Warning. This is long winded, but I hope it will be of use to you. I hate dry, unhelpful reviews, and I have taken it on as my personal task to fight against this and create informative, amusing (well, I crack myself up in any case) reviews. Happy reading....tldr; solid purchase.My mom has a pair of these in black. She loves them. My mother is a tiny elderly Asian woman, and comes from the generation where you crammed your feet into ill-fitting shoes, bones be damned! Podiatrists gotta eat too, right? Anyhow, her feet hurt her, and she has osteo issues and the like, so, comfort is paramount. And she prefers lightweight shoes. Like, she will heft a pair of shoes while we're shopping for them and go "no, these are heavy". Where you could have told me I was holding gel air and I would have believed you. She also has super tiny feet. Finding shoes for her can be problematic. "What?!!? They don't have a size five and a half?!!?" - My Mom.They had shoes in my mom's size. The upper material is a weave type thing and it accommodates her feet. They are amazingly lightweight. Because of the weave upper construction, they breathe. (awesome in Texas heat) They are well made. The metallic colour put her off a bit, as she likes true neutrals, but that's a personal thing. (We actually argued for a few minutes because she said they were 'green', so... - and they're not) They shipped out right away and we received them in a timely manner.They are comfortable (according to my mom) and are now her go-to shoes. I will end up buying another pair of these for her whenever she's worn these down enough or wants another colour. If mom's happy, everybody's happy.

I really love the look of these shoes.. I have a pair of the Victoria and wanted a change. You do have to go up in size - I am an 8 1/2 and need a size 40. I wanted these for an upcoming France trip -- they look awesome on -- better than the photo. My problem is the heel area is way too large for my narrow ankles/heels. The shoes are somewhat boxy inside -- I can fit a whole Merrell insole (from another pair of shoes) inside which gave it much- needed arch support. But no matter what I tried, the shoes were flopping around on my ankles. I think the Victoria may fit me better because it has a padded collar/tongue area which hugs the ankle somewhat. The sole of the Rigged Jim did not feel quite as stable as the Victoria -- in other words, the support under my feet felt too narrow. I've had ankle and foot surgeries and can't take a chance with unsteady footing. So thank you Amazon, for quick service and free returns. I'm sorry these didn't work for me because they really are so good looking!!

This is my 2nd pair of these shoes & I love them. They are so comfortable & go with everything I wear from shorts to slacks. I also have a couple of pair of Bernie Mev Catwalks but, I like these much better. My other pair of Rigged Jim's are the denim color & look great with jeans. I ordered my regular size & they fit perfectly. I can't say enough nice things about this shoe.

I love Bernie Mev elastic shoes! I have to wear an orthotic in one shoe and a brace in the other one. Leather shoes don’t work for me, but the elastic stretches to accommodate the brace and orthotic. And they look great! I have three pairs. They wear extremely well, too. They run a size small, though, so you might want to order a larger size.

Cute for everyday and the grey color will go with everything in my wardrobe. The picture of the shoe shows a color variation (a V) and I liked that, but it really doesn't show in person--too bad. They are a little snug--I bought my regular size--but I've had two other pairs of Bernie Met's and I know the elastic loosens up, so I'm keeping them.

I have a bunion on one foot and these shoes allow plenty of room with their ability to stretch to be extremely comfortable.I definitely recommend them.

As much as I love they way they look, I have to return them because the left one fits perfectly and is very comfortable - the right one feels too snug. I'm afraid that if I wear them for any length of time, they will begin to bother me.

The only reason these wonderful shoes don't get the 5 stars is the size is a little difficult to narrow down. I have 2 pair for myself & had to get smaller size on one of them. I've been attempting to get my Mother in Law a pair & her normal size was too small. I had to pay for that return but the replacement pair I made sure to get from a source with free returns... I have also bought for others in my life. I'm a fan!!!
