Introductory Chaldean

Several other introductions to Chaldean or Syrian that I've run across mostly introduce limited vocabulary and focus mainly on the script. While this introduces the script a bit at a time with words to learn and practice, from the start you are shown enough to build basic phrases. After a few chapters, you will have a passing knowledge of the script and the ability to read actual sentences. The authors have also written a Chaldean Grammar which looks like a good follow-on resource. If you are interested in Chaldean/Syriac and want to do more than just write the alphabet but are not a specialist in Semitic languages this text strikes a great balance for serious beginners.

It is extremely difficult to find resources about Chladean Neo-Aramaic so this makes this book a instant must for anyone interested. It's packed with invaluable information for beginners. Recommend it for those interested with the Chaldo-Assyrian culture.

It s well-written and easy to follow. A must- be -have for anyone who wants to learn the Chaldean language. And all the credits to the author of course.

The structure and outline of this book makes learning and application faster

Love this Chaldean Language book. Easy to ready and understand. It is written by the best Chaldean scholar Bishop Jammo and Father Younan. Excellent work ... I am looking forward for new publications in the near future.

First of all the book is linked to a series of lessons on u tube. So you are able to hear the words spoken and written enabling you to get a good grasp of the basics. I bought the book after coming across the videos. There is al a companion book on Chaldean Grammar and I think there is also a more advanced book after this one.I am just taking it slowly and am just starting lesson 4.I have wanted to learn Aramaic for years so for me, I cannot praise this book enough.

Dieses Buch ist für jeden Chaldäer der die Chaldäische sprache und schrift lernen will geeignet und ist sehr empfehlenswert! Es ist für kinder und erwachsene geieignet die ein bisschen englisch können und auch die die kein englisch können, aber auch für die die wenigstens die deutschen buchstaben kennen, können von dem buch auch was lernen. die Chaldäische sprache ist einfach herrlich! A very nice book for Aramaic or Assyrian. The structure is a liitle bit overloaded.A great Shlama (Hello) to the books writers.
