Very Good Information
This book covers basic information that all women should know. I purchased it for my grand daughter so she would know how she should behave. In a world where everyone has seemed to forgotten good manners, this should be required reading for all young girls.....and, if you never learned good manners when you were young, then it should be read by every adult woman. The information is presented in an easy-to-read format.

Great book, well, written, entertaining
Just the way it is written, it is not boring, it just gets to the point & has pictures & color, etc. Lovely book. Everyone should own it or buy it for a young lady. There is a version for "Gentleman" as well.

Read it before graduating from college!
Both books: How to live like a lady...a gentleman, were easy reading regarding social graces. It was a condensed Miss Manners with practical advice accompanying the rules of behavior.

Not for a Real Lady
I could have gotten the same advice in Cosmopolitan without paying for this book. In the dating section, the author says that if "your first and second dates went well," it's OK to invite him in and "casually suggest" he stay the night, so be sure to clean up the place before you go out. As for sex, "let him know what you enjoy...nudity is unavoidable (duh)...bringing up contraception is essential (so have condoms close at hand)...The next morning, be bright and breezy and always offer him breakfast even if you're not sure you want him to stay." Of course, let him think this is just another roll in the hay - nothing special. If he must have coffee, hope he makes it fast. Bye-bye. Really, is this the way a lady lives? And to think - I almost gave this book to my friend's teenaged daughter who is a lovely young girl who I'm sure does not own a "flesh-colored G-string" - an essential item on the author's must-have list. There is so much in this little book that I found offensive and only hope that no reader takes it seriously and actually thinks that living like a lady requires such trashiness. Isn't society bad enough without this?

how to live like a lady
This is a great book, I think every young lady 12 years and up should read it. I vaguely remember my home ec. teacher teaching us some of these things but I am very confident this no longer happens. Very good book for learning I think it is a must have
