Emotionally Intelligent Leadership: A Guide for Students

This was one of my books for my senior capstone class. This was by far one of the best books I've ever read and should be used not only as a learning tool, but as a continual reference in one's life to monitor our own level of emotional intelligence. We all need a little tune up occasionally :)

Informative but flows effortlessly & quickly. Good examples, relatable, good examples!

This is a simple book that touches on basic issues. I wouldn't say it's profound or next level, but it's a solid read for beginners or high schoolers. Simple lessons.

I really enjoyed Emotionally Intelligent Leadership. Over the course of my career, I’ve read lots of leadership books, and found this one to be particularly on-target and interesting to read. I’m teaching a leadership class this fall to college juniors and seniors and using the book; the students have enjoyed reading the book, the examples from college-aged students are particularly helpful to the students as they consider ways to practice their leadership skills in and around campus. What a refreshing look at leadership written in a style that young leaders can relate to! The authors have done an outstanding job of making concepts of emotional intelligence and leadership approachable with relevant examples and quotes from students. The reflection questions create a self-guided journey for students to take notes of their learning. I'm eager to use this book as text for leadership programming and courses!

I wish all my text books were this useful when I was in college! This book is practical, interesting and engaging. I read it alone and found the reflection questions quite helpful. It would be a powerful component of a class or leadership program curriculum. It wasn't just a book to read, but a set of ideas to explore. The authors combine insight from the fields of emotional intelligence and leadership in way that will stick with me for a long time.

Los autores ofrecen otros recursos complementarios. Si se busca usar los cuadernos de trabajo conviene en ese caso recurrir a la versión impresa. De todos los materiales que conforman los recursos del programa, este es el libro central y se sostiene de forma independiente. Si se trabaja con limitaciones en presupuesto y se está interesado en el programa, es suficiente con comprar este libro.
