GE Universal Remote Control for Samsung, Vizio, LG, Sony, Sharp, Roku

My office door is located inside a hospital waiting room that was recently upgraded with a TV. But there is no remote and when people turn it on it's stuck on some real life murder mystery channel. 99% of the time there is no one in there but I can hear the Keith Morrison rambling on about how things "are about to get much worse". This remote was easy to set up and works like a charm. Fox News on the TV? Not anymore! Lifetime movie marathon? Not on my watch! Thanks to the GE Universal Remote Control for Samsung, Vizio, LG, Sony, Sharp, Roku, Apple TV, etc... Life is good.

Incredibly easy to use. Bought a tv and there was no remote control. We set it up in 2 seconds and then moved onto program the roku. Not overly Roku friendly but it does work, just easier to use the roku remote. I'd buy again

Good remote, just not for me. Buttons do stick, but not is not the biggest problem I had. The programming did not stay in the Roku mode when I was navigating. I was finding myself having to press Setup every once in a while navigating Roku. Sometimes, even while I was holding down a button. It stuck to its programming, NO MATTER WHAT. You kind of do not need a backlight once you learn where the buttons are and for that, it is a fairly good design.

This is a good remote. If feels nice in the hand, the buttons are easy to memorize, and it's easy to setup. Tip: if you try all the codes listed for your TV, and it still doesn't enable all the functions, do a search on Google for your TV codes, and you will most likely find the code that activates all your TV's functions.

There is nothing wrong with the quality of this product. My issue is with the function. I got this to control both my tv and Roku. I use the Roku controls the majority of the time. The issue is that this remote uses a “shift” button to engage the 4 directional buttons instead of them being used for volume and channel up and down. The directions show how to lock the volume buttons for whatever controls the volume so you can control the volume no matter what device you are primarily controlling but there is no way to swap the function of the shift button. I would prefer to be able to use the arrow keys for moving my Roku curser around and then use shift to control the volume/channel but there is no way to do this. So because I use my Roku all the time I have to resort to pushing the shift button every time I want to do something. There is no way to “Shift Lock” either. It goes back to normal after 5 seconds of inactivity. Kind of annoying but really, I shouldn’t expect such function from a remote that costs less than $10.

Works great. Takes a bit of time to program properly but once programmed it works great.

Setting the remote up takes a few minutes for the tv. Setting it up with a DVD player took a similar amount of time. Tested both out and the remote setup for navigating around is just terrible. This remote is awful. The shift key setup is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen. It's the kind of thing that works in theory and fails in practice. For example, if I want to change from the tv to my HDMI 3 source I have to hit input, then I have to hit setup to "shift" so the channel buttons now function as navigation buttons. Sometimes when I hit the ok/mute button it doesn't select the source I've switched to. Other times I don't know what setup the keys are in so hitting the up channel button changes the channel and then when I hit the input button it brings up the guide menu. Waste of money honestly. I would not buy again nor would I recommend this product.

Wow! I had such an easy time to connect this to my Vizio tv. I didn’t have a remote for the tv and it wasn’t such a big deal to me cuz I usually just left the volume on one setting and living alone it was fine most of the time but a bit embarrassing when I had company over and they wanted to turn the tv on and adjust the volume. The first code I used worked! Programming the remote was super fast and easy, the part that took me the longest was looking for batteries lol

Funcionó a la perfección.

Works great for TVs that use the VOL/CH buttons for menu navigation. Many universal remotes use separate codes for the arrow keys and VOL/CH buttons, forcing you to choose one or the other.

Algo complicado de instalar si no se tiene conocimiento. Pero en general un excelente producto.

Bought this very sceptically. I assumed it wouldn’t work, as the TV/VCR are from 2004. It was soooo simple to set up, and worked like a charm. I can now control the TV and VCR! 10/10

Ya venia programado para my Samsung TV. Me gusta que es pequeño. Salio barato y se siente barato, no se ve que vaya aguantar muchas caidas. Trae instrucciones y lista de codigos para muchas TV's.
