Rain-Bird ESP-TM2 Indoor Outdoor Irrigation WiFi Zone Controller Timer Box and Link Lnk WiFi Mobile Wireless Smartphone Upgrade Module Sprinkler System (6 Zone)

I had a 14 year old rain bird sprinkler controller operating 4 zones at my home. It worked, but anytime I wanted to monitor it, change settings or operate manually, I had to go outside, push away some nearby bushes and stand in the hot sun to do the work.I purchased this unit to replace and upgrade my existing system. It took under 10 minutes to remove the old system, mount and connect this one. Could not have been easier. In just a few additional minutes (after downloading the Rain Bird app) I had it connected and programmed.Now anytime, day or night, home or away, I can check to see if my system is working, turn on one or all zones, change durations etc. As an added bonus, the app checks local weather and AUTOMATICALLY adjusts the watering time you set up based on the forecast. Over the last month, it has reduced or increased the watering duration based on temperature in my area, and when combined with a rain sensor, I now have a reliable, hands free, flexible watering solution for my home.I highly recommend this unit and wifi module as an upgrade for a current rain bird system or for a first time user.

This was a great upgrade to my old unit. Love the app and WiFi. Nice to make adjustments on my phone.

This replaced a trusty 15 year old Rainbird that was starting to have some issues (lost one zone relay etc.).I was a bit nervous reading about a lot of problems with the WiFi module but the alternative Brands with WiFi control had even worse reviews and the fancy rain prediction stuff others offer does not work here in SWFL since we really never know it we get 3 inches or nothing or something in between until it really happens...Installation was easy and everything powered up immediately.I used the app to program all zones and can no easily adjust or suspend watering via the app without having to go to my outside shed... Also very convenient when I do my zone-tests as I can walk around the yard and switch zones off and on to check all the heads instead of going back and forth to the controller.WiFi-Link - the archilles heel in a lot of reviews - is working 100% stable for me. I suspect in a lot of cases the problems may more be from bad WiFi than actually problems with the little Arduino dongle that comes with the Rain-Birds...

Easiest controller ever to program. AND you have multiple start times within each program! We can now use the cycle and soak method as well as program different yard spaces. For example: Program A is the front yard. It runs Mon/Wed/Fri. The FIRST start time is 5am, for ten minutes each zone. THEN THE SECOND START TIME is 5:45 with another round of ten minutes each zone. The water soaks in and no more run off. Program B is the back yard. Tue/Thu/Sa. It also has two start times. It runs for longer periods of time because the larger area has rotary sprinkler heads and not pop ups like the front yard. Program C is my raised garden boxes. This program starts an hour after everything else is finished and only needs five minutes from its’ sprayers. I just want to illustrate how VERSATILE the controller is!! It’s SO EASY! Finally, get the WiFi connector and download the app. Everything is at your fingertips. If you have the controller app on more than one phone, you cannot use both phones at the same time. The system connects independently to each phone and you have to give changes on one phone time to catch up with the other phone. If you want to easily customize your watering needs or you have large areas that are wasting water this controller is worth every penny.

A wifi sprinkler system sounded initially like one more thing that could go wrong, but once you get the hang of the application, it's great to check watering on the spot vs. running back to add more time to the controller, etc. I did have to hire the installation out, but the system works very well and is intuitive. You really do need the wi fi version though as the console itself is a bit difficult to use. The app is better.

The controller was easy to setup, and it was exactly what I needed. The seller really made it easier by pre-installing the wife link adapter and the instructions were pretty straight forward. I do like that the seller included a personal note with direct contact information in case I had any problems. Of note: the product only supports 2.4GHz WiFi. I don't recall catching that on product description.

Easy to install and use my phone remotely. Removed the old manual rainbird and now I can control my watering when I am away.

I also purchased a Rain Bird rain sensor for it.The Rain Bird app works great on my Android 10 phone.Here is what I did to install the WiFi adapter and Rain Bird app on my phone:After reading app reviews in the Google app store and trial/error, here is what I did to install it successfully: ON MY PHONE IN SETTINGS, 1) turn off battery optimization for the app, 2) turn off data saver for the app, 3) turn off mobile data on my phone, 4) forget my home WiFi network on my phone, 5) turn on location on my phone, 6) use 2.4 GHz when prompted by the app setup process. After setup is done: 1) use 2.4 GHz for WiFi on my phone permanently, 2) turn on mobile data.The app is fully functional for me. Works great!A real upgrade from the old Irritrol controller that came with my home. I'm very happy with the Rain Bird controller, WiFi adapter, and the rain sensor that I purchased separately.
