Lawn care- tick prevention
Worked well to keep ticks away. Kept grass short as well and did not notice a strong smell when product was applied. A little pricey but we have well water and I didn't want to put a poision down. Cedarcide is supposed to be well water safe.

Finally enjoying the yard without flea bites or mosquito swarms
We have a 45-lb dog who thinks the backyard is his kingdom—and who used to bring every flea in North Carolina inside with him. I spread one 8-lb bag of Cedarcide granules around the fence line, under the deck, and along our patio steps (took maybe 20 minutes with a handheld broadcast spreader). The cedar scent was strong at first—think freshly sharpened pencils—but mellowed to a light, woodsy smell by the next afternoon. Two weeks later the difference is obvious: no more scratching dog, zero flea bites on our ankles, and evening grill sessions are actually mosquito-free. I like that I can let our three-month-old roll around on a blanket without worrying about chemical residue, and the granules haven’t bothered the new grass seed I put down this spring.Small quirk: the bag doesn’t reseal, so if you’re only using part of it, have a zip-top or bucket ready. Also, apply on a calm day—the fine dust can blow around if it’s windy. All in, this stuff does exactly what it claims—natural, pet-safe pest control that actually works. I’m already planning to re-apply every couple of months through the summer to keep the yard bite-free.

Good, but not great
Smells very nice! Seemed to tame some of the pests, but it's no pesticide. If you are having a party and you wanted less bugs around, this is good, but it didnt last as long as it said. Its better than nothing, but it also isnt going to solve any pest issues

Poof! No Mosquitos! (but no fireflies either!)
2 days after sprinkling it in the Ivy,mosquitos disappeared. No more bites! After I had ordered, I was told it wouldnot work once mosquitos were established, that you had to also use it with a spray -which I didn't want to do, so planned to returnit.Fortunately, I went on and tried it without the spray.(Maybe the mosquitos had not established yet)We are happy it works, and will apply it everyfew weeks through the height of mosquito season.

Huge waste of money
So I found this on the green genie and I started purchasing this and putting around my yard every 3 weeks. I started putting it around the house and yard out to the fence starting in December in South GA North Florida area. I was thinking it was working, there were only a few mosquitoes hanging out int heir normal areas and they seemed to leave when spreading the mulch. Now that we are officially in Spring the mosquitoes are back and are unaffected by this mulch. So I've spent $45-$50 four times for four applications and this stuff is not working. You can see in these pictures, the cedar mulch I applied a week ago is apparent in the picture on the brick and yet there are several mosquitoes just chilling above the mulch. I was hoping since a Florida nursery was praising this product it was the real thing, but they must be getting paid for advertising. Shame. $200 loss. Maybe it works up north but apparently not in south GA/North FL.

Pricey
Great product, but blows away with the slightest breeze. It's so finely ground that its feather light. Kind of pricey to have it blow away

I'd recommend
We sprinkle this around the perimeter of our house in the front yard to deter bugs, works beautifully, no ants this year and hopefully scorpions stay away (knock on wood). Smells great. We have needed 2 bags over the course of several months so it lasts a long time. Easy to just open the bag and pour.

Flea Kingdom Problem
I have fruits, veggies and flowers growing so needed a product to get rid of fleas that didnt disrupt pollinators. I purchased Cedarcide and quite happy with results. I had a severe flea problem due to rainy weather and my neighbor using pesticide (which apparently sent fleas scurrying to my yard). Great results with mosquitoes on first application. The fleas needed a double appication. The smell is low key and pleasant. I plan to purchase the liquid to apply as well as I go forward with maintenance.
