Budget board for almost any AMD CPU
works very well with my AMD Ryzen 5 3600. i dont do overclocking so this board is perfect. it comes with a m.2 slot which comes in handy. Came with ryzen 3000 series out of the box which is amazing considering the price I purchased this board for. Comes with 4 SATA III ports but the downsides of this board is that the chassis fan headers are somewhat poorly placed. There is no sort of RGB header, which I can expect. Also just to point out, when installing components like the RAM and CPU, the board makes a slightly disturbing but very subtle cracking sound. On the plus side, if your looking for a budget gaming board or any sort of CPU testing board, this is probably a deal.

Cheap and Cheerful
Used this for my first ever build thanks to some great reviews on youtube, good compatibility, Bios was updated to ver 3.9 so didn't have to update it before installing my Ryzen 5 3500x. For compatibilty check the ASRock website, great exhaustive list of usable components and which version of Bios needed Bit of a no frills board, minimal connections but should be fine for any standard build. No integrated RGB controls if you want that from your Motherboard as I said it's bare bones offering, just giving you the essentials

Good budget MoBo
Struggled with a few wires when building the PC with this MoBo, but overall pretty good

Perfect b450 motheboard for small cases
Ignore bad reviews, people just don't really know what they doing. Board worked with ryzen 5 3600 out of the box , no bios update required, also my nvme 1tb drive worked staright away no issues at all. This board works better then msi gaming max plus. Cheap, b450 chipset, perfect for micro or mini atx cases, recommended.

Great motherboard. Would recommend a fan controller
Great motherboard, easy to find connection points. No fiddly ports however a lack of fan ports.

Does exactly what it's supposed to, easy to install and power and worked out the box.
Used with a Ryzen 3200g and 16gb of corsair ram. Plugged it all in, laser cut a new case for it and hooked up my gpu. Installed windows on a new m.2 drive I bought and have had ZERO problems whatsoever. The manual has enough information for the plugs and it was simple to install. Absolute bargain for the price and I'll happily keep it til it's dead.

Absolutely astonished at the awful quality of this board. Never buying ASRock again.
PLEASE JUST SPEND THE EXTRA 20 EURO FOR A DECENT BOARD! This board features some of the most annoying little quirks that I have ever experienced with any motherboard. - Constant audio issues. My audio interface turns itself off periodically, requiring it to be plugged in and out which can be insanely annoying during something like an online game. Constant crackling of audio, yet to find any fix. Updating the BIOS worked as a temporary fix but the issues soon returned. - Speaking of which, the BIOS update experience on this motherboard is BY FAR the most infuriating tech issue I have ever had to resolve. You can do EVERYTHING right, flash the board just as intended on the official website and have no problems while downloading or during the actual flash process, but the PC will STILL fail to post. This is because ASRock seems to deem it acceptable to release BIOSes that literally just don't work. Several hours were spent reflashing and trying desperately to find any BIOS that works. The one I ended up settling on still sometimes fails to post after restarting and requires a couple restarts, which is incredibly aggravating. What's the point of having a nice, quality SSD if your motherboard makes it so that it takes 5 minutes to boot up anyways? - Terrible VRMS, they run boiling hot at all times and are barely enough for my undervolted 3600. - Only two fan headers, so barely any oppurtunity whatsoever for good case airflow. - Crap features, no usb C, no rgb header, very little back panel USB. Honestly, if it weren't for the first two issues I would be giving this board a far better review. The last three are tradeoffs that I was fully aware of and prepared to make when I was buying this board. I realise now that even they are probably not good enough and I should've gone for a little higher quality, but I still probably would've approached it with a more "You get what your pay for" mindset. However, this kind of horrendous firmware and lack of support is completely unacceptable by my standards and I think that really goes to show how absolutely awful this board is. I am not a power user. I have no need for very good VRMs or lots of rear IO and I can do fine without them. But this board is just so unbelievably terrible that it cannot even satisfy the needs of a beginner PC builder and now that I have gained more experience with other, better motherboards I'm beginning to realise that. I have put up with this board for over a year and as soon as I possibly can I will upgrade and I am seriously considering smashing this one with a mallet as a therapeutic way of saying goodbye. I have no attachment to this board, no good memories, no nostalgia. Just pain. I would not even consider burdening my friends who want to buy PCs with the unfortunate task of the upkeep of this motherboard. I am never even TOUCHING another ASRock product ever again and I really do mean that. I don't care if this is their cheapest model, it shows an absolute lack of any standards for the products they release and that they really do not care about the end user in the slightest.
