Why didnt. Do this years ago!!!!
The goodIt works. Not that expensive. These r the blug in kind. They have a wireless version. I just didnt want to take a chance with all the things that can go wrong with production. The badI need some more out lets in my truss system. The solution. Simple power splitters. Well darn. Guess there is no bad. Then why did i run hudreds of feed of dmx cable all over my bar. This is cool. Now if i need a special light somewere far away i just plug in and go.Idea for the people who make these. Most likley someone would use this on a light. Many lights would daisy chain. This adds another thing to figure how to plug in with an odd thin unmatched wire type. How about an adapter that plugs in and has a plug on the back of it to plug the light into it. Just sayin’.

Good value
I bought the CHINLY wireless units with external antennas. These units work extremely well as long as you have a clean DMX change. If you don't (e.g. timing is off or reversed or a single light in the chain becomes a master due to option cycling) the receiver will de-link from the transmitter and will not reconnect until you disconnect it from the DMX chain and allow it to go green again. Once we had our lights all configured and cabled properly and then connected the receiver we had no issues at all. Really good value.

Easy to use and work GREAT!
Used to these to run lighting for a show on New Years eve and another electronic music event in June. So far, I've had 20 fixtures mixed between the receivers with zero DMX latency. It's pretty handy to be able to throw some par lights on a stand in a corner outside of a building and still have everything synced up properly.

"Wireless" should mean wireless
These products plug into a powered device and I (wrongly) assumed that they were actually wireless. Unfortunately, they all require their own power supply... which means, they all need to be near an outlet. Kind of defeats the purpose as I now need to run wires anyway.. just power instead of DMX. My fault for not reading through all the minute details (even thought it doesn't specifically say it comes with or requires a DC plug-in.. just that it's 5 volt and comes with "adapters". It *should* say simply that it requires a 110v power source though). I'm still going to try them out and see how well they work, but the cord requirements for something advertised as "wireless" is misleading.

Wireless DMX is awesome
Although these are not battery operated, I wouldn’t trade them for the world batteries seem to die way too fast in DMX lighting however, even though you have to have more plug-in, which is not a problem, these are a great way to go wireless with the MX especially for the money and the value Over the weekend I used this product and one of my lighting trees was approximately 60 foot away and I had no problem reaching it with my controller great product great value

Had some issues
Although easy to use, I found these units very sensitive to interference (wifi were guessing) causing the individual receivers to blank out for 1-2 seconds then resume the current program. Very disruptive to theatre stage work.

The version with external antennas is VERY fragile.
I set mine up in the shop (I have a small A/V company), and they functioned well and were easy to use ... but ... I bought the version with the external antennas for maximum range/stability. And one of the antennas arrived broken, and they ALL seem VERY fragile. I couldn't imagine using them at an event! So I'm returning mine. Please note that my only problem was with the ANTENNAS ... so it's quite possible the version WITHOUT external antennas will work perfectly.

Great for wireless lighting
I have multiple sets of Chinly wireless units but they are the ones w/o antennas. I bought these (with antennas) to see if they had better "reception" since we had dropout issues with the others. It seems these are better BUT there's still some issues when guitar players have 2.4 G wireless units. My advice is to have a very small pointed screwdriver handy so you can change the frequency of the transmitter + receivers if necessary. Otherwise, these units are SUPERB for wireless lighting!
