There is no lag in the sound and the lips are in sync. My TV is in a large room, and having the ability to place the speakers close to us really enhances the experience - the speakers are placed on opposite sides of us for the full stereo effect. Without this device we had to have the TV booming across the room.With only a pair of the OontZ (Ultra 3) speakers, sound can be extended wirelessly, but effectively not in stereo as one speaker needs to be plugged into the TV to act as the transmitter. This device solves that problem. It can be hidden behind the TV and can receive its power from the TV USB port, so it can power up and down from the TV.This device would be 6-stars if it only had an aux output, which would allow adding a subwoofer or other wired speakers to a pair of Oontz speakers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well *by A***R on June 18, 2019* Per the first - one star - review, it is "Designed for use with supported OontZ speakers". I got a male RCA to male 3.5 mm connector to connect the Record Out from my preamp to the Oontz Bluetooth Adapter. The Oontz Angle 3 Ultra speakers, set up vertically on either side of the kitchen sink, take up very little space. Very good sound. Latency - when living room speakers are on (and they can be muted without affecting my Record Out signal) is minimal and not bothersome. Got these when my kitchen radio died. Now my radio is from my (wired) internet radio in my stereo via Bluetooth to my new kitchen speakers. Running into the kitchen when watching TV or listening to music, I don't miss anything. Speakers do not work and play well with the microwave oven. ### ⭐ Does not work with Oontz Speakers as stated *by C***T on October 25, 2020* Save your money and research as this does not work as stated. Hours trying to make this item work as advertised to no avail. Should have stopped 15 minutes into it when it never connected with the 2 Oontz Angle 3 Ultra (4th Gen) speakers that were purchased at the same time!Read carefully. This adapter is NOT Bluetooth or does not "broadcast" a Bluetooth signal to be used by other devices. It might "broadcast" a Bluetooth signal or in the frequency spectrum of Bluetooth, but is not usable by another Bluetooth device. Only the Oontz Speakers that are listed can work with this device! Knew this going into it, but when it did not work with the speakers listed, it would have been nice to have tried another Bluetooth speaker to connect with and test functionality.
