Pretty awesome
My daughters pitching coach got one as a gift and let me play around with it. I liked it so much I ordered one for my team. Now,If you are looking for something extremely accurate everything single pitch the. This is not for you, but for $100.00 shipped to house it’s a awesome buy. The feedback it gives when connected is a couple MPH off, but everything else is pretty accurate. The spin direction is a very useful tool and the Rpm lets the girls set goals. It does not come without its flaws. It does disconnect and can be a pain, but as stated for $100.00 you get a lot off feedback for your money.Awesome tool for someone wanting a little feedback without spending a fortune.

Daughter Loves it, Great App
Just received the Diamond Kinetics softball. My daughter who is 14 could not wait to try it. After charging the ball she went on to throw 20 pitches. The App is very easy to use and informative. I can't speak to accuracy as I can only compare readings to a 6 year old Bushnell basic gun. I believe the Bushnell measures average velocity and not Fastest velocity that some guns use. My daughter tops out at 57 MPH on the Bushnell. On the DK Ball she was hitting 59 MPH with one at 62 MPH. The spin rate seemed accurate compared to the RevFire that a coach used at a camp. Around 900 RPM or 16 RPS. The main thing is that it works and she can't wait to use it again!UPDATE! After using it for a few weeks the ball is still a good tool but a bit frustrating. It loses blutooth connection regularly. Contacted company and at their suggestion placed the phone equal distance between pitcher and catcher on tripod but still looses quite a few pitches. It is a little frustrating. But still a nice piece when working.

Tracks about 1 pitch every 10
I had heard from quite a few trainers that it was mildly inaccurate with the readings but given the situation we are currently in I needed something to change up the same old drills and working spots over and over again. I thought this might give us something fun to play around with and even if the metrics are not exact it gives us something to measure against. We spent more time restarting the app, waiting for a pitch to upload that never did and staring at a phone then we did just going through a normal session. Clunky technology not worth your time.

Great so far!!
Love it so far. My only complaint is that I seem to have to repair the ball prior to use. Now that I have the hang of it it’s pretty easy. Love the instant feedback and that I can just set my phone on the ground next to the catcher. No holding a device needed. Love the added data and spin value.

It works well enough to measure speed, RPMs and data logging.
The bad reviews on this product are due to user error imo. You have to make sure the ball is charged adequately and the mobile device must be within 15-20 feet to register the pitch. I think the accuracy in measurements are decent, but not perfect. I noticed some odd readings every now and again, but at this price point and ease-of-use, it's a good tool overall. I would say the variance in MPH measurements may be of 2-3 MPH on some pitches. Not horrible but probably limited to the bluetooth tech used in this system. I would recommend this product for young pitchers trying to increase spin and get good feedback on velocity.

Not worth the money!
The software is not user friendly and the ball does not give consistent accurate data. While using the ball it will frequently lose contact with the iPad, miss pitches, or show an error. There appears to be no way to calibrate the ball.It has been okay for tracking when the pitchers as pitched and roughly how many pitches were thrown during the session, something that could be done on paper for less money. The location tracking with pitch type is descendant, but doesn’t make it worth the money.

Cool idea. Wish it was 100% accurate
Kid doesn't use this to often. Coach said it wasn't very accurate. I still thought it was cool to see the pitching recorded.

PitchTracker Softball
My daughter pitches for a club team, and has a thing for gimmicks that help with anything from batting to fielding to pitching. This device is very cool. I like that it's the same size and weight of an actual 12" softball. It tracks spin rate, speed, drop, and other metrics that my daughter likes to see. The only complaint I have is that the app is available only for Apple phones. I don't understand why it's not for Android.
