A few months ago I received a lab report back where my liver enzymes were a little high. This was not the first time this had happened, and in the past when I got back on the exercise and healthy diet horse, everything would return to normal. At the same time I thought that perhaps I could use a little help. I had heard about milk thistle years ago, but never followed up on it. This time I conducted a little more research and, like everything else, there is some conflicting data. However there seems to generally be a consensus that milk thistle, specifically that of a higher quality, will have a benefit. I decided upon Naturenetics LiverSmart specifically because of the 80% Silmaril content (a key quality indicator), and for all the positive reviews. I've been taking the product for approximately 3 months now. I generally take 1-3 capsules per day, but I do miss days sometimes. In my last lab results, all liver enzyme levels were normal. This despite the fact that, due to schedules and such, I had still be struggling with implementing the exercise frequency that I wanted, and my diet had been good but not particularly stellar on the "healthy" scale. Honestly, I do no know what if any affect this product has had on my liver function. It's virtually impossible to identify a pure cause-effect relationship, because there are so many other variables involved (for example, one thing I did cut out was fried food). So it would be easy enough for me to say "because of LiverSmart my liver enzymes were normal, when in fact the greater factor may have been that I cut out fried foods. I just don't know one way or another. My philosophy however is that LiverSmart, in addition to diet and exercise, is just one more weapon to add to the arsenal in the race for maintaining good health. Just as a carpenter can't build a house with only a hammer, it is just one of many tools used to get the job done. My point is that I would caution against expecting this (or any other supplement) to be some sort of wonder pill that allows you to eat/do what you want, but rather as just another arrow in the quiver. I have not experienced any side effects taking this product. I will likely stop taking it for a period and then restart after a couple of months, purely as a precautionary measure against any buildup of unneeded supplements. Lastly, I have purchased this product two times on Amazon, and in both boxes there was a coupon from the manufacturer to receive a free bottle directly from them (you simply fill out a very short form on their website; it literally takes 2 minutes or less). A very gracious bonus from Naturenetics, in my opinion. In summary, if you are looking for a supplement to help with your liver function, and have determined that milk thistle is the supplement you would like to try, then I would recommend that you try LiverSmart. My experience with both the product and the company has so far been very positive.

I've been taking these for 2 months now. Took a liver emzyme test before my surgery and learned my AST was 37 and my ALT was 67. Clearly my liver enzymes were elevated, which were due to me taking artorvistatins (meds for elevated cholesterol). My PCP said it was a side effect of the statin. Well, about 2 months before my surgery, my LDL (bad cholesterol) was down to 76, more than half of the original number, which was 159. Therefore, when she informed me of how elevated my liver emzyme numbers were, I knew I had to stop taking the statin and cleanse and detox my liver. One thing I've noticed so far, is that I sleep better and that I don't crave junk. I take a pill in the morning with breakfast and with my evening meal as well. I told you guys when I received my two bottles, I would come back and notify you of my progress. Being that it contains milk thisle and 5 other awesome Ingredients, that have been proven to detox and cleanse the liver, I felt confident in my purchase. 8 days ago, I tested my liver enzymes again. My numbers are no longer elevated. In fact, AST is now 19, from 37 and my ALT is now 19, down from 67. My AST dropped by half and my ALT dropped by 48 points. I am definitely going to keep ordering this from now on. I also lost a total of 15 pounds as well. This literally was a God send. I am one of the most skeptical people in the world, when it comes to believing supplements like this work and I am so happy to find out that this actually does work. I am so thankul for this product. So far I really like this so I gave it four stars... I haven't used it long enough yet to give it five stars but time shall tell. Today will be my 3rd day taking it and I don't know if it's in my mind but I don't think so because this past month I was VERY VERY ILL - I got so sick I felt like I had been poisoned. That was early July and just a week ago I was still laying in my bed over 10 days later thinking, blech, I don't feel well. I drank mimosas at brunch on the fateful day of illness but I didn't think I over did it, I had 4 of them at brunch and felt just fine all day... it was the next day in the morning (almost 24 hrs later) I became violently ill and for some reason I started thinking it was sugar - I love sugar but I think it might be poisoning me or something. On my bday on the 18th I had a glass of wine with dinner (which I was hesitant to do I was so ill before) and that made me ill - I had bday cake the next day and that too made me sick. So I started researching sugar and a lot of articles spoke of the liver, etc. So I started searching for a product for a liver cleanse and this one came highly rated with good reviews so I purchased it right away. It showed up a few days later and I started taking it. I ALWAYS have to have at least a good solid 8 hours of sleep or I'm worthless. The past few days of taking this product, I have gone to bed a little later than usual due to work and my eyes just suddenly pop open at 6 am no matter how much I've slept and I feel great. I try to go back to bed but I'm just wide awake. I can tell I feel different...I'm surprised that I would really notice a difference in just a few days. I have more energy and am feeling pretty good, especially given the horrendous month I've had... so tired and just not feeling well. I was taking naps and laying around in bed on the weekend... that is NOT like me. I like to get up early and get things done. I will say for about 3 days before this product arrived, I started taking the ultimate cleanse (herbal cleanse) just to get ready for this liver product because I was afraid I wouldn't feel too great the first couple of days when the toxins started to be released - as soon as this arrived, I ceased with the herbal cleanse pills but I really started noticing a difference in how I felt after the first day and then for sure the 2nd day... I really think this product is working! I haven't noticed any side effects like feeling ill or headaches but again, I started for a few days with herbal cleanse pills (that also have milk thistle in them and other herbs) just to get a jump start on cleansing and when I took those, I felt crappy for a couple of days with a really bad headache so I think I kind of prepped myself for this and I'm glad I did. I even feel skinnier and notice my appetite has decreased. My sugar cravings are decreasing quite a bit too the past couple of days. I'm not sure if it really is this product, but a day or two after I started taking it, I really noticed a difference in how I felt and my appetite. I'm excited! I will try to remember to come back and update this review in a couple/few weeks and let you know how it's going.

Great product. I like the quality of the pills. I have used this product for quite awhile and really like it.

I just started to take this product so I am unable to give a review on if it worked to bring down my high liver enzymes or not. I had kidney cancer in 2010 and not long after I had my kidney removed I experienced high levels of liver enzymes. Because there is no traditional medical treatment to bring down the enzymes I had consulted with my PHARMASIST concerning what I could do and he suggested I add Milk Thistle to the Dandelion root tea I was already taking to detox my liver. After 8 weeks my liver enzymes returned to normal. I have recently had a liver test taken and my enzymes are very high again. I am drinking the dandelion tea but I wanted to add the milk thistle as well. I could not find the product I had used before but in my research, I found this product and was impressed with its natural ingredients of dandelion root extract, artichoke leaf, Yellow Dock Root, and Beet Root which I know is also helpful in liver health as well as the Milk Thistle. I am also diabetic and I read that this combination of herbs can also help decrease blood sugar levels as well. Again I am not able to report if that is true as yet. I was impressed by the quality of the product and the professionalism of the company as well. I get my dandelion root from Croatia and other products from European sources as well and have found them to be excellent and superb. I am delighted to notice that this product uses the European standard of the process as well. I was impressed with the product so much that I have ordered a bottle and am literally expecting it to meet my needs. I have decided to add this to my subscribe and save list on Amazon and keep taking it even after my levels lower. I will report back when I get my liver tests reevaluated in a few months.

This product does work. I use this for my acne as my aesthetician insisted. I take it and it helps a lot.

Wow! I am totally pleased with Naturenetics products. I have pretty much done a cleanse at the start of the year for the past decade. I have tried several products during my cleanse, a few low tech, low cost, and a few that were pretty expensive. I have combined "Liver Smart" with "Colon Kind" for 2015 and I can say the results have been pretty impressive and well worth the moderate cost, especially when compared to the expensive formula that I used for 2014. The Naturenetics combination had me going within 24 hrs and without the really bad feelings and terrible taste. My approach was to prepare my body a week ahead of starting the regimen by cutting back on my meal intake, while eliminating meats and sweets. My results with a 21 day period has been a weight loss from 190 lbs to 175 while feeling good and not overly deprived. My meals mostly consisted of fruit and vegetable Juicing and soups. I started my program January 6 and I feel great today January 28, 2015. My goal is 165 and my mind is telling me that I can do and my body is totally agreeing, which is no small feat as we all know how the body can be pretty demanding for the foods that it craves, especially when It has been hooked on "Sugary products, Baked goods and Sweet meats". Flushing out the liver and cleansing with products that just flat out works (and a great company that seem to pride itself on serving its customer) has pretty much neutralized my cravings and its now up to me to continue on the path to success. The product works to serve its purpose. The first few days, things started off real slow. I was taking 2 a day after my meals the first few days then upped the dosage to 3 a day. I thought taking it twice wasn't doing anything. For me, I find that 3 a day works better or at least works so to say. Before taking these pills, I went once in the morning and rarely I would have to go at night. Once I got started on these pills, I go at least twice a day- once during the morning (7-8AM) as usual and once again after work (6-7PM) -or- sometime between after dinner / before bed (8-11PM). Pros: -Helps empty out my system few times a day -No cramping or any type of pain -Pills are average sized. Not hard to swallow. Cons: -It made me feel bloated/gassy through out some days and I thought it was because I had to go to the restroom. Nothing came out. Not even gas. It was just an unpleasant bloating feeling. Its worse when you get that feeling and you are able to release gas or poop, but it makes you think "thats it?" after realizing how little came out. -Since I am going more often, it sometimes hurts from all that wiping even if I were to use baby wipes. -Not sure how other ingredients are helping me. Other reviewers claim they feel less sluggish, no more aches, etc. I have not experienced any of these other positive side effects which brings me to my last con. -Slightly more expensive than other milk thistle products if you dont see any other benefits besides "going" more often. *TMI FACT*: Although I was taking more trips to the restroom than usual, there was less coming out each time. So instead of going once in the morning pushing a lot out, I was only excreting a lil bit at a time. This goes for amount that came out and the size of the waste. This scenario just makes it seem like that one big push in the morning was broken down into a few little ones throughout the day. Once you get your product, there's a little slip in the box that allows you to claim a free full sized bottle of your item. I didn't request it until the 3rd week of taking the product. Why get another bottle if the first one doesnt show signs of working right? By the 3rd week, I thought that this product was doing a good job so far and the second bottle should benefit me more better. They dont force you to write a review or anything like that.
