Very Happy
I think that it's so cool that something like this exists. It makes my install so much easier. If you're going to have some sort of satellite for your T.V. and you want ALL your local channels, then I would use this Triplexer. I'm very happy that I found this splitter/combiner

Easier than stringing multiple cables
I have Dish satellite service that was installed years ago. The dishes connect to the receiver with a coax cable. Recently I wanted to add over-the-air signals as well, putting the antenna in the attic. The initial thought was to run another coax cable from the antenna through the attic and down a wall to the TV. Instead, this triplexer allows me to run a coax cable from my antenna to the 2 existing coax cables from the dishes and then carry all three signals over the cable that was already run to the receiver. It's a much shorter run than to take a new cable all the way to the TV. Connect 1 dish signal to one of the dish inputs, the 2nd dish signal to the other dish input, and the over-the-air antenna signal to the third input. It successfully carries signals from my 2 satellite dishes and 1 over-the-air antenna over 1 RG-6 coax cable to another triplexer which then separates the two satellite signals back to my Dish receiver and the over-the-air signal to my TV. There was no resolution loss visible to me. I did not connect the over-the-air signal to the receiver's antenna input because for some reason the receiver cannot process the signal. I don't know if that's a problem with the Dish receiver or because that signal is boosted by an amplifier. Using the amplifier is required by my antenna when splitting the signal. My workaround was to connect the over-the-air signal directly to the TV and to bypass the receiver. That works for me, although it does not allow for the receiver's DVR functions to work with the over-the-air signal. It certainly beats snaking a separate cable through a cramped hot attic and down a wall with cross-studs.
