Q: What's the difference between NOW Liver Detoxifier and Regenerator, and Silymarin?

Laura,Silymarin is extracted from an herb called Milk Thistle. Milk Thistle is one of the herbs that's in NOW Liver Detoxifier & Regenerator. Milk Thistle (Silymarin) is very good and safe to take for healthy liver function. In fact, it's one of the safest herbs that can be taken to support healthy liver function. I always take an extra 1,000 mg of Milk Thistle along with my daily dose of NOW Liver Detoxifier & Regenerator because the dosage in Now is only 300 mg and is far below the daily requirement. You can take up to 3,000 mg of Milk Thistle a day safely. I like the NOW Liver Detoxifier & Regenerator because it has a variety of other liver health herbs combined into one daily dose.Matthew

Q: How long do you take this before you see results?

It was about 6 months in between when I started taking it and my next blood test. I had stopped drinking for two years and my liver enzymes were still high, so I started taking this and that Doctors Best Alpha Lipoic Acid and 6 months later my liver was in the normal range and I have continued this for a couple years now and it's all good. I have also continued to not drink. I take 2 of these at night and one of the Lipoic Acid in the am. Wishing you good results too!

Q: Is this product intended to be used as a short-term detox or as long-term maintenance?

I would say to go through an entire bottle at recommended dosage and perhaps go through another if the liver is in bad shape. Then use one or two capsules at night once or twice per week as maintenance.

Q: Did anyone notice a color change of your stools after taking this product?

No change but the smell did change.
