RIDGID 31400 Spud Wrench, 12-inch Adjustable Spud Wrench, Red, full size

This wrench works great! It’s very durable, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. There is a lot of adjustment in the jaws and doesn’t round the edges of the brass sprinkler heads I’ve been replacing.

This is an excellent wrench, I think of if kind of as a crescent wrench but the handle is rotated to be vertical instead of horizontal. The Jaws are very smooth so it won't damage brass and chrome, attached is a picture on a compression valve for a 1/2 inch line, love this tool!

I find I use this tool more the longer I own it. It is made by Ridged so it is well constructed. The jaws are easy to adjust&hold the position without trouble I find it holds nuts or bolts better than the "Cresent" type adjustable wrench. But, each type has its own value&situation where it shines. It was a good purchase for me.

Awesome wrench clean work

I like this tool because it grips well without having the serrated jaws that would tear up plated hardware. I remodeled sixteen bathrooms in a plant facility and a lot of the fixtures had to be taken down and reinstalled. The fittings were chrome plated and since they were in place for a while, they were not easily removed. Adjustable pliers and regular pipe wrenches dug into the plating and left a lot of ugly tool marks. By purchaing this wrench and having the flat smooth jaws, I was able to remove and reuse a lot of hardware. It ended up saving me time and money. The Ridgid brand is good and this wrench has very little play in it so it will not slip and round off the corners of large nuts.

I bought this wrench specifically for tightening nuts on a couple of urinals I recently installed. To my surprise all the big crescent wrench’s I had they wasn’t big enough to get on. I was debating buying the Knipex smooth jaw pliers but couldn’t justify the price. This is money well spent if you need to get a some big nuts.

Had my last one for 20years. No reason this one won't last just as long.

I inherited one of these from my dad - and then did the unthinkable - I lent it to someone. After being without it for a yearI tried to get a second hand one as I thought they were no longer made. The new one is fabulous. Great for the tradesman who does lots of different jobs. Made in USA too!

worried it wouldnt be genuine ridgid buying off amazon, and it feels like it is! has worked great weekly for years now. no rust or damage to the housing, or nut. quality product
