This isn't normally an item I would go out of my way to review but I was really on the fence about purchasing it. According to Amazon, I purchased this almost exactly one year ago and since I got it in the mail it has been on my wrist almost every day. Here's what I love about this hybrid band and the few things that I don't like.LIKES:- Hybrid: This really is the best of both worlds when it comes to a band for my Galaxy Frontier. I tried the silicone sport bands but I hated the fact that they made it look like a straight sport watch. Silicone bands are comfortable and great for working out but if I wanted to wear it to my office job or out to dinner, the silicone bands felt mismatched and tacky. On the upside, they didn't get all smelly and nasty after a work out. I also tried straight leather bands. They looked great but I wear my watch to work out...in Florida...so it didn't take long for the leather bands to get stinky and gross, or to start cracking and splitting due to them drying out. This band is a game changer because it combined what I love about each style. The part that sits against my sweaty wrist is comfortable silicone while the top is a decent quality, good-looking leather. I've been wearing my watch all day and all night for almost a year now and have never felt the need to swap bands, no matter what the occasion.Quality: This was one my biggest concerns. I thought the factory images in the listing made it look cheap but it has help up extremely well, with one exception (that I'll explain in the dislikes). The stitching that holds the layers together is thick and strong, the metal clips that attach it to the watch are sturdy, and the buckle itself is strong and sits nice and flat. After a year of constant day and night use, I've had no issues with the band itself coming off, separating, cracking, or any other cosmetic or mechanical failure. And I live a pretty active lifestyle, so I'm extremely impressed that this thing has held up.Comfort: The silicone makes this super comfortable. I wear my watch all day and all night to track my sleep and most of the time I forget that it's even on.CONS:There is one thing that I dislike about this band, but it's trivial compared to how much I love it. It's the little loops that hold down the excess strap. I read in a previous review before purchasing that the excess band often slides out and I can verify that. The silicone is a little slippery, especially when wet, so I often find myself repositioning the loops throughout the day. If that bothers you, you can probably put a single stitch of thread through the silicone and the loop to keep it in place. Another thing I don't like about the loops is they appear to be really thin leather stuck to a thin piece of plastic (maybe that's why they're slippery?). Over the past year, the loops have dried out and cracked. One has broken off and the other is starting to split so I know it won't be long til that one goes. Everything about this band is awesome except for those little loops. You can buy replacement loops by themselves (or 3D print one if you own a 3D printer like me) so this has been a trivial matter. Again, this small inconvenience more than makes up for not needing to swap out my band every time I want to work out.Overall, I couldn't be happier. I definitely recommend this hybrid band. 5 stars all the way.

EDIT: After six months, I still love this band. I wear it at all times except when charging my watch once a week, and I'm not gentle with it. This band has been in showers, ocean water, motor oil, 100+ degree heat, sweat, and sand. It has been scraped, pressed, pulled, scratched, and bitten (kittens!). The last three photos showing buckle and the entire band are current after six months. There are no visible signs of wear when on my wrist. It's just as comfortable as it was on the first day - no break in period was necessary. If you're a clean freak, you will note that the grooves on the silicone side trap dirt. It's obvious from the photos that I do not know how this band holds up to frequent cleaning!ORIGINAL REVIEW:The Maxjoy Hybrid Leather watch band provides such great quality at such value that you will be proud of your smart investment. Out of the box, the band is supple and flexible, not at all stiff and needing no break-in period. The quick release mechanism makes changing the band simple and easy, and the silicone backing is both comfortable for all-day wear and easy to keep clean.The stitching is neat and adds a touch of class while the leather seems well-treated for durability and weather resistance. There are ten holes for the buckle to fit most wrists. These should not stretch as much over time as a leather band without the silicone backing might. My wrists measure approx. 6.5 inches, and I wear the band on the eighth (third to last) hole which I keep at a tight fit for my heart rate monitor. The two leather keepers hold the strap in place without any sliding.The buckle can dig into the wrist right along the major artery at times. This is really a function of wrist size and is easily addressed with a minor position adjustment. The buckle does not rub against desks or computers and so does not damage and is not damaged by them.This is my go-to band - a great band at a great price. Recommendation: Buy it!

This watch band has been a great and cheap enhancement to my GS3 Frontier. Immediately after I swapped the bands, I started getting compliments on my "nice watch", despite the fact that the watch I've had for over a year, and all I did was change to this band. It elevates the watch to a higher class.The main issues I have with it are that (1), it is quite a bit thinner than the original band, meaning that it feels like like might snap more easily, or otherwise break, whereas the original band felt more sturdy. and (2), the length of the band itself is a little shorter than the original. This seems to allow the far end of the band to slip from under the two sliding retainers. I'm afraid one day this will lead to the main buckle to come loose and I may lose my watch. I've learned to periodically check my watch to ensure it's still on and fix the lose end, but I wish I didn't have to do that and it would remain as sturdy as the original band.Overall, however, I do like this band and have come to look past these issues given the low cost of the product. If a higher quality product is desired, look for something more pricey.
