Arrived quickly. So that's a plus. I really, really, really wanted this to be more perfect than it is.It broke recently and we can't get it to rewind.The printing is a bit blurry and there aren't as many indicators of dates as I wanted. To skip from 300 million BC to 35 million BC and then skip all the way to 10,000 BC, well, you can see that there are a few missing numerical dates.There are VISUAL images for more things, but seems like the meteor that crashed into earth and killed off the dinosaurs should have its own approximate numerical date. Don't you think?Also... since the universe "sort of" has a beginning but as yet no end seems like the tape should be organized the other way around, giving kids an opportunity to extend the drawing and imagine further into the future.After the smart phone at the end of the timeline there is an automobile... I'm guessing that is self-driving autos?A very nice ending. Should keep this relevant for another 10 year or so until the next "big thing"I like it, I don't love it, and I am keeping it though, as it's a good start. I think it will help my children understand that so much has happened in the earth before our time on earth and that's what I wanted it to do.We will also have fun using it for a Big Bang theme song sing-a-long. haha!!!

I was very disappointed in this item. I was hoping to use this as a way to show my kids the extent of time in the universe. Showing that human history is incredible short compared to the time of dinosaurs etc. But since it's not too scale, it makes it look like human history is 9 times longer than the rest of time put together.Also, the button doesn't work so it doesn't roll back in, I requested a refund.

Great toy for my 2 year old that wants to use my measurer for everything, would note that if you fully extend it dies occasionally get stuck, easily fixed by lifting the button slightly to get it all back in place. He also enjoys knowing how big things are as shown on the tape measure.

I am currently training as a teacher, and I bought this as a fun addition for my classroom (pre-corona...). I love it, it is simplistic, but for a general overview is a lovely timeline tool. Only issue I have is it gets stuck if you pull it all the way, and I worry it won't return in. If this didn't happen each time it would be a 5* review.

Grandson loved this. Definitely preferable to Grandads metal one. He wasn't particularly interested in the facts on it. He has already managed to break the metal ring off the end though.

Bought as a stocking filler - adults fascinated by it!
