Hydrofarm ACF16 16 Inch 3 Speed Wall Mountable 90 Degree Heavy Duty Hydroponic Grow Oscillating Fan w/Spring Loaded Plastic Clip (2 Pack)

I bought this set of fans in July 2017. Used almost daily. One lasted three years the other four. The only complaint I had with them is that the strings that operate the oscillation and the on-off/fan speed broke on both fans. The last one broke off inside the housing leaving it was stuck on the medium fan speed setting so I could only turn it on by plugging it in and turn it off by unplugging it.

These fans are great so far. Quiet with just a gentle whoosh sound;using them in my basement green house over the winter time from Oct to April. I run these for two hours each today on low with oscillate. As my peppers get bigger, it's important to have some air movement to strengthen the plants as well as removed too much moisture from the leaves after watering. So every AM and every PM the timer gives my peppers an hour of a soft breeze. But one fan stopped moving yesterday. It just makes a clicking sound, the other fan still runs flawlessly. So if i calculate how much time I've actually run them, it is almost 1080 hours (it will be at the end of April) 2 hours each day, 180 days per year, 3 years... If I had run them for 8 hours each day, that means one failed after 135 days, at only 8 hours a day, that's pretty poor. But then the other is still quiet as soft summer breeze...

This is the second set we have bought. We are very happy with them. They are quiet and have good power and good control of speeds. They are fairly easy to assemble. The only strange thing is the band that you have to fasten around the grill to hold the two pieces together. Would rather it had clips like all other fans I have had. But all in all we are pleased with the four we have for our plants.

So far the fan has been great! Moves quite a bit of air, even on low. They look great, are easy to use.

I bought these fans and BOTH stopped working very soon after being used in my grow house. I had trouble getting the shipper to honor the return policy and paid over $50.00 to ship the defective fans back. The shipper failed to acknowledge receipt of the fans and by the time we got to that point, more than 120 days had passed on the tracking and I was unable to provide the proof of delivery to the shipper than they required after the fact. Other fans cost more, but I will never buy these types again.

Very well made fan. Very easy to assemble. I would buy again.

Great investment for the garage. Keeps the garage cool while working in the summer and late spring. Easy to wall mount and up, out of the way.
