What happens if I lose my wheel lock key? Are all keys the same? Can you look up my key number from my order?

Wheel lock sets use a unique patterned key, identified by a Key# stamped on the side of the key. We include a card to write your information on. Unfortunately, we can't track what key was packaged in your set from the order, so keep your key#!

Is the socket size the same as the lug wrench in my trunk?

Yes! DPAccessories wheel lock sets are matched to vehicle applications through Year, Make, and Model fitment, ensuring compatibility with the original spare and emergency lug wrench. No adapter or new wrench is needed.

Is the black finish Matte black? Gloss black? Does the chrome rust?

We call our black plating a satin finish, in the middle of matte and gloss. Our platings are upgraded to pass extended corrosion tests and will look great for years with normal cleaning with soap and water to remove brake dust and road salt.

Can I use an impact wrench on wheel locks? How much torque can they take?

Unlike a standard 6-sided lug nut, wheel locks use smaller grooves and splines for security which can be damaged from impact tools and over torque. We recommend installation by hand, and final torque to the OEM torque spec by a torque wrench.

Will this lock set still work on my winter wheels, or that custom set I've been shopping for?

They might! If your wheels use a cone seat lug nut and have clearance for a standard socket socket, they could be a great fit. If your wheels require spline lug nuts they may not fit.
