Great Reviews online and here, not so great in reality
I did some research before getting two of these Kirlin Cables, and they've always stood up pretty well on all of the reviews I've seen or read. I purchased two of them, and one of them was clearly defective as the sound was going in and out when I was using it. Very disappointing. I ended up returning both and I went in a different direction when purchasing an instrument cable to replace them. They did look very nice, I'll give them that. Unfortunately, and obviously, that means nothing when it comes to the sound.

Great cable
After reading about how cables were often overlooked as a critical part of the overall sound I invested heavily in cables throughout my PA and guitar chain of equipment. I had always used generic black rubber wrapped cables but never again. These cables were an important part of that sound improvement. I can't say enough good things about these cables and how they improved my sound, especially on stage. Braided cables from here on in. Additionally I ama fan of using multiple colors on stage were traditionally everyone uses all black. Never going back.

Great cable for the money
I bought this cable for my 12 and 13 year old boys, the cables that they have been using came with their guitars and one broke completely and the other is causing some bad buzzing. I bought a new cable from the local music store, with some hesitation but we needed that day. I then found this cable as well as another name brand cable with good reviews for half as much as the cheesy one i bought at the local music store. So i bought them both and the boys haven't complained at all and the buzzing is gone.

This is a quality cable at a very good price.
This is a quality cable at a very good price. I believe it's 20 AWG, which means it's a little thicker than a larger number AWG rating (for example 24 AWG) but that it ought to pass a stronger signal over longer distances than larger AWG rated cables. The 1/4" plugs feel of very good quality as does the tweed-like wrapping. Plus there is supposedly some sort of warranty on these. So point is, these ought to last and pass a stronger signal than cheap 24 AWG cables you can get for less money.

Unique look and great quality feel!
Update 5/4/2016!I love these cables so much, I've now replaced ALL my gigging and studio cables with this! I've even noticed other band members in my group now having them too. The only problem? Whose is whose!Solution: I now take a piece of colored electrical tape and wrap each end to help identify them as mine and what I use them for. (See pic below with green band: that one goes between my guitar and pedal board which also have green pieces of tape near their jacks). Now the singers can't claim they don't understand how all the cables go, and have no more excuses for not helping setup and take down. Awesome!Original Review:We've all been to Guitar Center and picked up their door-buster cables that cost about as much as this but feel like they'd fall apart in your hand, right? Not this guy. Fat and flexible cable, the mark of a quality cable! Right angle on one side for excellent strain-relief. Even has a built-in Velcro strap for easy stowing! The connector barrel unscrews if you ever needed to make a repair. Has a very cool tweed jacket.5 stars! I now own 3 of them! I further upgraded with Neutrik silent plug! Awesome!

Huge improvement in noise with this cable
I am a newbie. I had a practice amp I bought from Goodwill that was making so much noise even with just the cable plugged in and no instrument connected that I bought another used practice amp assuming the amp was defective. The original cable I was using was an extension for a microphone. The second amp was marginally better but still unacceptable. After looking on line for solutions for noisy amps and not having any luck with any tweaks I tried, I took a chance and bought this cable. The difference is astounding. The original amp is actually better than the second one, but both are fine now with the minimal noise I would expect. I am using this cable with a acoustic ukulele.

Great cable
This is my second Kirlin cable within the past 10 years. The last one I purchased finally began to break down, both signal-wise and tone wise (highs cutting in and out). This new one showed up yesterday and it is amazing. These are great cables. Don't drink the cork-sniffer cool-aide and believe that you need to spend big $$$ for a guitar cable. Really, you don't. These Kirlins are well-made and handsome!

The sound clarity is dramatic.
I just got this cable so I really can't comment on durability, but they do look well made. The price is very reasonable in my opinion.Like I said, I just got this cable so I did a comparison against the cable I was using. I thought my previous cable was high quality, but the difference in clarity was dramatic. Even my wife, who thinks all my guitars sound the same noticed the difference.

Wrong cable.
Cable is nice but not what I ordered. In the photo it is a right hand connector but when it arrived it was straight.

long wait - not what I ordered
a good lead but I ordered a lead with right angled jack plug - 13 days later I received one with straight jack plugs in a different colour
