Great book about Rommel's battles in WW I before he became famous.Interesting to read and with originally hand drawn maps easy to follow the specifics.There were about 181 typos in that translation which might have been just scanned and run through some software. I reported them and hopefully they will fix them in the future.

Most people hear of WWI and think of static trench warfare. You can tell Rommel was way ahead of his time. The way he describes his battle plans and how his course of action played out is incredible. Very detailed and there are so many lessons to learn even as a small unit infantrymen today.

I chose this rate because I wanted to see the book behind the movie Patton it discusses tactics used by Rommel
