I tested a number of things that I suspected had cobalt in them, but none turned pink or changed color at all, even a high speed drill bit that was labelled as a cobalt bit. Maybe the percentage is low enough to not be an issue, but it's not reassuring. I wish there was a check to make sure that the kit is really working.

Might be that nothing in my house contains cobalt, but I’m skeptical about that. Nothing I tested showed any positive results, and it’s impossible to know what that means (no cobalt in the items in my house vs. these not working at all). For the price paid, I don’t like that degree of uncertainty ... this feels like it was a major waste of money.

Gets the job done. Not a ton for the price but there’s not many other places to buy them. They are a little difficult to snap if you have dexterity issues.

I was diagnosed with a skin allergy to cobalt, and this simple test has been great for finding cobalt in anything. You snap it, and rub it on a suspicious item. If there is cobalt detected, it turns pink. Easy to use and carry with you. I will buy more when I run out!

I discovered an allergy to cobalt and nickel. Both test kits work the same way. I really haven't found many products containing cobalt, but lots of jewelry with nickel.

I recently found out I have acquired an allergy to cobalt. I bought this product to test my jewelry to make sure it wasnt the reason for my allergic contact dermatitis. All my jewelry tested negative which I assume is true, but sadly I have not been able to pinpoint anything that tests positive. I was happy with the results, but wish the cause of this allergy was easier to track down. I felt getting 10 tests for the price was a very good deal. I only did not give 5 stars because I did not find anything that tests positive for cobalt, I cannot say how well it works. I was satisfied with my purchase and will purchase again if needed.
