GELED Light Bulbs, 40 Watt, Soft White, Frosted Decorative Bulbs, Medium Base (2 Pack)

I've ordered 16 of these lights. I really like the color of light they put off more than the very yellow light of most bulbs (unless you can find a "bright white" bulb, in the 3000K-4000K range) or the dead blue light of "daylight" bulbs. Unfortunately, a lot of these flicker. Sitting in a room at night, with these in the overhead chandelier providing the only light, kind of gives you a horror movie/ headachey flicker. I have a chandelier with 12 lights, and 4 or 5 have a serious flicker which is VERY unpleasant.

Beware the package says GE HD+ Reveal bulbs but they are just regular GE LED's which should be much cheaper. NOT Reveal. I've ordered these 6 times and only once have a actually received what it says on the box. If you are buying Reveal because you care about the light color look elsewhere. Not sure if this is some kind of scam or what but I'm giving up on these.

We bought these bulbs because of good reviews for GE Lighting products, and uncertainty about the Chinese products, which are less expensive. I needed six bulbs and bought eight. Selected the "best" six, based on visual observation; they have been in service for a month in our ceiling fans without issues. The light is quite natural, not too warm but neutral and enjoyable.The picture shows the bulbs that we didn't select, due to off-center filaments. I don't know if this is a real "defect," or even an issue, but I suspect they aren't first quality. Imagine the decision to approve shipment of these bulbs. It would be helpful, at least for me, for GE Lighting to chime in.

I purchased these light bulbs on Aug 27th. They have already failed on Sept 22nd. This is the most expensive version of this type of bulb I have purchased. Less than 1 month later and they have failed. I have had a problem with LED bulbs failing earlier than their estimated life but never this fast. I have other GE LED bulbs that have been in place for over 3 years with no problems. What gives? I guess I will try another brand.

We first bought these bulbs in Feb. 2019 for carriage lights on our patio. They were great. Added lots of lighting to an otherwise dark at night area. We were happy with the color of the light and the brightness.One of the bulbs broke at the base after two years of consistent daily use. So I bought the identical bulb for replacement. Amazon even reminded me "You bought this item Feb. 2019".Bulbs arrived quickly. The packaging is slightly taller but all the information on the package is identical to the older package we had saved. When we put the bulb in and flipped the switch we were stunned at the difference between existing bulbs and the new bulb. This cannot possibly be the same bulb. The light from the new bulb is far dimmer, not even close in brightness to the old bulb. It casts a weak light although the package alleges 500 lumens (the old package stated 420 lumens, and they are far brighter). The color of the light alleges to be the same on both packages - warm white 2700 Kelvin. The light color of the new bulb however is distinctly different and has a strange PINK hue. This bulb might serve as an interior night light, but is inadequate for outdoor purposes.I cannot recommend it as GE has decided to make a different product yet represent it as the same product as the earlier iteration. Surprising because I love GE Reveal lighting and don't mind paying extra for the pleasing light. Very disappointed in these bulbs and will be returning to Amazon.

I like the degrees of brightness unfortunately it's only my 2 older touch lamps that the light will show up and give great degrees of brightness. I checked out all 4 in my older lamp and they are perfect which means they shipped well without getting broken. For some reason, putting them in my new lamp, you just barely can tell it's on. I'll just have to keep on using regular light bulbs of low wattage in it as it does dim and brighten I just don't like that the bulb gets much warmer than I would like. So, I don't recommend them for brand new lights, my older ones are 20+ and 8 years old.

I love GE reveal light--it's my favorite. So I was thrilled to order these for the light fixtures in our kitchen. BIG PROBLEM: there is black writing on the actual bulbs, so if your light fixture actually shows the bulb, these look TERRIBLE. Won't be buying again.

I put these bulbs in my chandelier a couple years ago to replace incandescents figuring they would reduce electric costs and last much longer. I will say the bulbs look nice in my chandelier with a nice yellowish light but I’ve already replaced 4 of them when on the box it states they should last 13 years if used 3 hours per day. My chandelier is probably on at most 1 hour per day so I would think they would last longer than 13 years not just a couple.

Old stock of the bulbs which meant the colour was off from current bulbs sold. All the bulbs had a bad flicker when dimmed. One bulb died after one day of use. Avoid buying these and find current production bulbs. Overpriced too.
