Does not include strain relief (cord guard)
Does not include strain relief (cord guard) even though the picture in on the Amazon web page clearly shows the cord with a cord guard. Had to spend an additional $8, plus additional time without the skilsaw while I wait for the cord guard to be shipped.

Excellent replacement for 3 wire saw.
I have an ancient Black and Decker sidewinder with aluminum shoe from the 1960's. It was my grandpa's that he used to build houses back in the day. Given the age and the fact it still works, I'd dare say it framed over 100 houses. That's the legend of it, here's what I know for sure. The cord on this thing was dry rotten all to bits. Plus there were a few nicks from past passes of the blade. I was using it the last project I had and thought I needed to look for a replacement. Not 10 minutes later I was moving the cord around and I hit an exposed wire. I love a good cuss inducing bite.To the internet. Looking up the part number would have been an exercise in futility, so I looked for a saw that pulled as many amps as I could think of. The Skilsaw worm drive is rated for 15 amps so I figured it would cover the 12 amps this old hoss (theoretically) pulls. It's a nice cord. It has screw on posts for all three leads and a Service Junior insulation rating. I would have liked something that will hold up to oil and water better, but at $20 I cannot complain. I don't plan on leaving it out in the rain to worry about not having tinned leads. It's about 7 feet long and the insulation is fairly pliable but bonded to the core well enough it won't kink up.After installation and running the saw with a new blade through some sappy pine, it was not even warm to the touch.I will be ordering two more of this cord. One for my random 6 1/2" Skilsaw and the chunky B&D No. 73 with stamped steel shoe. It'll be nice to have the old tools running without worrying about getting nipped by angry pixies.Overall would highly recommend.Update: framed a porch with the big fella and I'm pleased with the cord. No degradation in performance from old cord and no bites.I ordered a second for my other B&D saw, but the poor thing has more issues than that. So my 6 1/2" Skilsaw now has a much heavier cord.Update 2: I have now bought a third for my B&D no. 73. Will be my go to cord if I need to replace an old cord on any tool that's not double insulated.Again definitely worth the purchase.

Perfect Fit on my MAG 77. 15 minute job.
I bought this for my 15 year old MAG 77.It fit perfectly, the cord was exactly the same length as the original cord, and every bit as heavy duty. The swap out could not have been easier, no terminals to crimp on or insulation to strip back. I swapped the wires one at a time to avoid any mix up, and the entire job took about fifteen minutes. You might save a few bucks on a imitation cord, but it isn't worth it by the time you waste time cutting, stripping wire, and crimping terminals. Some people are put off by the fact that the cord is marked Bosch, but Skil isn't a cord manufacturer, and that is probably who they get all their power cords from.As previous people have noted, don't remove all the handle screws, just the ones to take the top half of the handle off, leave the bottom handle attached by the two large screws that connect it to the body.

Great product. Not always shipped with strain relief.
I needed a new power cord for my vintage skill model 77 worm drive saw. Shopped around, eBay, Amazon and etc. Amazon looked like the best deal. Shipping was quick. The item was as described. A heavy duty three conductor power cord with crimped screw lugs on the end that attaches to the saw switch. Removal of the old and installation of the new was straightforward. Just Google it and there are plenty of experts showing the way. Be sure to take a few photos of the wiring layout inside the saw grip handle. It'll help you with routing the new wires to the correct connections. One thing to note, from reading other reviews and my experience, these are not always shipped with the strain relief. Fortunately my old one was still in good enough shape that I could reinforce it with several rounds of electrical tape and put it back in service.
