MK 440 PC (4 bank x 10 amps)

I am using the single-bank, 10-amp charger to charge deep-cycle Gel batteries in my camper. Happy with overall quality and performance of the Minn Kota charger. Two slight negatives: First, the company wasn't any help with choosing one of their products (thankfully an Amazon customer was able to answer my question). Second, on start-up the lights flash (all), then the light for battery type ('AGM/HP AGM', 'Flooded', or 'Gel') illuminates, and then the battery charge (25%, 50%, 75%), but there is not even a flicker between steps 2 and 3. So, I'm not quite sure it's doing everything correctly when it indicates, let's say, 'Flooded' and '50%.' Wish the light would go ON-OFF-ON, just to be sure.

I ordered this to replace a returned NOCO Gen1 4a charger (see my earlier review), after it failed in my testing to operate properly. I placed the Minn Kota MK 106 PC on the same new charged battery (resting at 12.85v), as I did the NOCO unit. Voltage readings were simply made across the battery terminals with a DVM. Occasionally I monitored the current into the battery by running the charger through my DVM's test leads using the DVM's built in 10a fused option. In short, the Minn Kota looked at the battery, and seeing that it was in a charged state, quickly passed through the Bulk Mode, and began it's Absorption Mode. In a short period of time, it changed to it's Mild Equalization Mode (designed to run a maximum 1.5Hrs.), stopping early again. It then went into the Maintenance Mode (designed to run 12 Hrs regardless), and 12 hours later, it indeed showed a steady green light indicating 100% charged. I placed a small load on the battery to bring down it's voltage to 12.55v, and the charger started up again. The Minn Kota correctly ran it's multi-stage charge routine on two individual batteries of slightly different type as specified by the manufacturer. Also, it later responded correctly to an intentional battery drain. I am very pleased with it's operation, and would buy again.

I am very happy with the charger. The seller delivered on time, very well packaged, and in perfect condition. Good price. Full warranty. I had a question about the charger settings and called Minn Kota support. I talked to a real live person who was totally knowledgeable about the charger. He immediately answered my questions. Given my past experience with a number of Minn Kota products I expect long life and great performance. As pointed out by others, this charger does have a large footprint. Measure to make sure you have room for where you want to mount it.

Never owned a Minn Kota product that was not excellent and meet or exceed standards. Only had on boat for 2 months and boat has been in shop for winterization and tune up, but weight, size and capabilities is awesome. Mounted easily, accommodated 4 different battery types with independent programming and set up for each took 1 minute total. Initial use showed status of charge as expected and deep cell charging will help keep these batteries in proper condition for a long time.I will update in next 3 years to ensure it performs through warranty period, but you can never go wrong with minn Kota products and services.

Easily cut my electric bill in half. I live in remote Alaska and leave my boat in year round. My old original unit let the smoke out of it. I purchased this more modern unit to replace it. I couldn't be happier. Its smarter than I am and works great. Its been installed for awhile now with no issues.

Really like Minn Kota products. They are a little pricey compared to some others but I’ve owned a 3 bank charger since 2015 on a salt water boat without any issues what so ever. Overall great charger.

Installed this on my boat to be used with my size 29 deep cycle 12v battery. Works like a charm, and was able to recharge my car battery as well after it died and I didnt have any jumper cables. Really happy with this purchase. I can attest that it is in fact water resistant. I never had it submerged, but it was installed in an open area in my boat, so it did get wet often with 0 issues. I had it about a year before I sold the boat. I will be purchasing another minn kota on board charger.

Used this 460PC on my new center console boat, charges with no issues, easy to use. Had to buy an extension cable for the cranking battery in the rear. Instructions were easy to read/follow as well. Has a decent weight to it, feels and looks very durable. Have not been disappointed with this.

Works perfectly, as described. Hooked right up to my two 12v deep cycle batteries wired for my 24v trolling motor, as well as my 12v cranking battery. Charges all three and balances the 24v system just fine. It may have been more expensive than the alternative, but it works!

Installed this charger and added a port plug. Anywhere I go i just need and extension cord to charge my batteries. Very pleased.

Great price. Hard to find this at our local marine supply. Minn Kota has offered a $50 rebate also.
