Berry Good, but A Little Small
This is such a clever little gizmo. With most berries costing a fortune, opening the fridge to find they've grown green fuzz overnight is upsetting. But there are only so many berries even I can eat at once, and until now, wasting half the container was frustrating but inevitable. This is so easy to use: You stack your berries in two layers, so they are not pressing down on one another making themselves go soft, you open the little vent (it's marked "Berries/Cherries" and "Citrus/Grapes, so there is no confusion on which way to turn the marker) and even strawberries stay fresh and fuzz-free for about four or five days. The one drawback is the size. You can't fit in any large berries, and most baskets have at least two or three of those monsters. It will hold smaller berries very well, but even medium sized ones get crushed when you put on the lid. Ideally the berry keeper could be at least another inch or so higher. Of course, you can always gobble up the ones that don't fit while you're putting away the groceries, but that would be cheating. Or just serve them that day. With brown sugar and sour cream...if you haven't tried this, you are missing one of the best things in life. The container also says "Citrus/Grapes." Hello? Who buys 20 grapes at a time? They usually come in 1 lb bags at the market. And how do you choose which ones to save and which ones will just have to survive any way they can in the refrigerator. Do I need that kind of pressure? Cherries don't make a lot of sense either, since they're sold by the pound too. And citrus? You can't even squeeze one of those giant Steriod Strawberries into the berry keeper, let alone a lemon or lime, and they last forever anyway. If the manufacturer is referring to kumquats, I guess they'd fit, so maybe this is a big life-changing brekthrough for kumquat eaters. But personally, I don't know any.The Berry Keeper is really good for storing berries and not much else. Which is still pretty good...check out the price of raspberries at the market lately? Losing half the tiny basket you shelled out three to six bucks for hurts. Now if somebody would only invent a strawberry that tastes like a strawberry, we'd be all set.

Loved the product but the base tore after using it 3 times - company replaced the base so now all is well
I'm a big fan of this, as well as the larger lettuce keeper. It really does keep things fresher longer. BUT....just 3 months later after having used and washed this (top shelf dishwasher only) 3 times, the lip on the green base has torn. I believe that the probable cause is that the base fits snugly; or rather, too snugly, on the unit. Unfortunately, it is a fatal flaw as, for many items, it is necessary to put water in the base to keep things fresh. Obviously, if the base is torn, the water will leak out.So far, my lettuce keeper is fine as is the smallest one, the berry keeper. I find the berry keeper only useful for small left over amounts of things as it is only big enough for the smaller berries, like the little containers of blueberries. It will not hold a full container of strawberries. I have used this middle sized Keeper for the strawberries - but now I can't!I tried to find a place to ask Amazon for help with this but was unable to find it. It appears that, after the initial receipt of a product, the only recourse is to the company. So, I am going to contact the company and see if they're replace it. I'll update this review after I receive their response.Update: Progressive was very responsive and immediately sent out a replacement base. Now I can use my vegetable keeper again! I am changing my rating as the company was very helpful and a problem with one item is most likely just a one off. I'll leave it at four stars as I did have to go through the hassle of getting a replacement base. Nevertheless, all's well that ends well.

Good product but careful with lid
This is a decent veggie keeper. The size is great and easily fits a full head of lettuce. The lid is easy to use but my only downside is that the lid start cracking after repeated use. Once lid cracked then the quality of product was not as strong.

No more throwing out mushy veggies!!!
This container works so well that I now have 3 of these containers! We do a lot of stir fry and use lots of fresh veggies! This container works great with peppers, lettuce, apples, snap peas, and scallions. That is all I have tried to store in these containers so far. Be sure and read the instructions on using the open vents on the container. I just love these containers!

Price & Size may be EXACTLY what you need!
As a juicer I have had to give up my refrigerator space to fruits & vegetables & I mean ALL OF IT. I have been ordering containers from every company on this site to fix this issue. All have one thing in common expensive. The sets also ALL have one thing in common you will pay for containers you will never use as intended. Many Fruit & Vegetables are just bulky Apples, Carrots, Celery, Cucumbers are at the top of the list & containers that will at best only fit a pint of Blueberry's only make it worse.Enter this unit of which there are 2 sold a red one & this green one. The sizing is misleading on both of them, the red one is the tiny one that will fit at best the typical pint of Blueberry's. This one however is quite a lot bigger & stackable. It holds a boatload of Carrots or Celery or Cucumbers - Apples I suggest you find the largest Bin sold in the style you like as round may be a shape but in both health & Fruit containers just not a good shape for storage. At the price these go for & the fact you can order 1 at a time you can slowly but surely reclaim your refrigerator back. Also lets you wash, drain right in the unit. Gives a sweet little list of how to use both the add water function & the venting specific to each item you store. OH YEAH those functions seem to make a difference a big one.

One Opinion
Love this container. Because it is see-through, I can tell when the vegetables are fresh and when they start to get override. It holds two good size peppers or a container of strawberries. The food in it stays fresh for a week or over.. Before I got this container, I lost, many products soon after purchase. It is a money saver and does not take up that much room in the fridge. It is a good quality and looks just like the picture.

This thing really works
Bought this hoping it would keep my strawberries fresh for longer, and it actually does work. I just wish it was a bit larger. They make a larger version, but it's meant for keeping salad greens. Definitely going to try that one out as well.

Keeps your berries fresh
Perfect for keeping small portions of berries. Just a note, they last longer if not washed.

A great find
My berries keep for long time and I am very happy as it results in savings although the Berry Keeper does not come cheap.
