Might be slightly heavier than a traditional but having that built in pulley??? Come onnnnnnn. 3:1 is a breeze and overall it's a decent hand ascender

I use these for saddle hunting. Makes it very easy to climb the rope when using the pulley.

My kids and I like it for beginning our tree climbing training. Obviously simplifies things that the pulley is built-in. It is kind of expensive but the price can fluctuate quite a bit. I bought two so that two of us could climb at the same time. Haven't had any problems out of it and even my 7yr old does just fine with this, a foot loop and a Camp Druid Pro or Petzl Pro Rig.

The built in pulley is pure genius. Saves time adding a pulley to a basic 3-1 ascension system. Less time fiddling with devices with gloves on is always a win. At first glance this tool is well made, and in use it performs very well.

This ascender is awesome. I have a Petzl Ascender and it works great but you have to add a redirect pulley or carabiner to the top to make it efficient. This Ascender from Climbing Technology has the pull incorporated into it and it makes using it simple. Thank you for this new design concept.
