Sounds like this is one of the harder ones...so which would be an easier one to start with? And could a 6 year old do this together with a parent?

My 6 year-old "helped" me put this together. Typically, I would insert the tabs and then hand it off to her to push them down. It was a lot of fun, but she definitely didn't help for the entire duration -- after a bit, she sort of drifted away and then I really got down to business. It took me about 3 hours to do. I would definitely recommend buying a head magnifier to do these. It makes it WAY easier. With special metalic paint, it's possible to paint it?

Paint would cover up almost all of the fine details that are laser etched into the metal. So while you could paint it it would only make it look worse in my opinion.

How big is the Model?

Totally built its about a half of a inch in height. And about the size of a dollar coin

What size is the model when finished?

It's small. It's about 31/2 in by 2in.
